Greetings, Hive DIY community! In a previous post I shared a tutorial for crafts with recycled glass bottles, now I'm going to show you two different ideas for creating vases with bottles.

¡Saludos, comunidad de Hive DIY! En un post anterior compartí un tutorial de manualidades con botellas de vidrio recicladas, ahora voy a mostrarles dos diferentes ideas para crear floreros con botellas.

The materials we will need are: Glass bottles, decorative ribbon, mecatillo (fine rope), sackcloth, lace, artificial flower, Eva foam ornament and silicone.

Los materiales que vamos necesitar son: Botellas de vidrio, cinta decorativa, mecatillo, tela de saco, encaje, flor artificial, adorno de foamy y silicón.

First of all we are going to remove the labels from the bottles with a metallic sponge and soapy water. For the first craft I used the smallest bottle.

Ante todo vamos a retirar las etiquetas de las botellas con una esponja metálica y agua jabonosa. Para la primera manualidad yo usé la botella más pequeña.

We are going to apply liquid or stick silicone, according to our liking, on the lower edge of the bottle.

Vamos a aplicar silicón líquido o en barra, según nuestro gusto, por el borde inferior de la botella.

Then we glue the decorative lace all around it.

Luego pegamos el encaje decorativo por todo el contorno de la misma.

We do the same procedure on the upper part of the bottle.

Hacemos el mismo procedimiento en la parte superior de la botella.

Apply plenty of silicone in the center of the bottle to glue the main butterfly motif ornament, which I previously made with Eva foam.

Aplicamos abundante silicón en el centro de la botella para pegar el adorno principal con motivo de mariposa, que hice previamente con foamy.

You can place an ornament with the motif of your choice.

Ustedes pueden colocar un adorno con el motivo de su preferencia.

And so is our first vase, a very simple but beautiful and colorful work.

Y así queda nuestro primer florero, un trabajo muy sencillo pero bonito y colorido.

I cut a beautiful white rose from my garden to place in the vase to adorn the dining room table.

Yo corté una hermosa rosa blanca de mi jardín para colocarla en el florero y así adornar la mesa del comedor.

Now I will show you how to make another vase with the larger bottle.

Ahora les mostraré cómo hacer otro florero con la botella más grande.

First we are going to apply silicone on the top edge of the bottle to glue a little rocker.

Primero vamos a aplicar silicón en el borde superior de la botella para pegar un mecatillo.

We turn the rope so that it covers a part of the bottle; the length is a matter of taste.

Vamos dando vueltas al mecatillo de modo que cubra una parte de la botella; la longitud es cuestión de gustos.

Next, we place a kind of skirt on the bottle with the sackcloth; we will use liquid silicone.

Acto seguido, colocamos una especie de falda a la botella con la tela de saco; usaremos silicón líquido.

To give it a more eye-catching finish, we are going to add decorative ribbon to the top edge of the skirt.

Para darle un acabado más llamativo, vamos a colocarle cinta decorativa al borde superior de la falda.

We make a bow in the center for a better finish.

Le hacemos un lazo en el centro para un mejor acabado.

Finally, we can place an artificial flower in the center of the craft.

Finalmente, podemos colocar una flor artificial al centro de la manualidad.

And this is how our second vase with recycled materials looks like.

Y así queda nuestro segundo florero con materiales reciclados.

I placed a branch with little red Ixora flowers also from my home garden; a nice result.

Yo le coloqué una rama con florecillas de Ixoras rojas también del jardín de mi casa; un lindo resultado.
