Me alegra poder participar en esta inicitiva de la hermosa comunidad de Holus & Lotus, ya casi en la recta final. Creo que estamos en este mundo con propósitos reales y uno de ellos es servir y brindar alegría a los corazones que nos rodean y más allá.

Quiero contarles que tuve la oportunidad de presenciar un hermoso evento realizado con mucho esfuerzo por parte de la Fundación 1000 y un Motivos Para Sonreir, en el cual se llevó alegría y sorpresas a 60 niños de familias de pocos recursos de la comunidad de Antolín del Campo.

Esta fundación nació a raíz de una tragedia sucedida en el año 1999 en el estado de La Guaira, antiguo Estado Vargas, dándole un motivo para sonreír en navidad a los niños que sufrieron tanto en aquellos días. Actualmente abarcan varias regiones de Venezuela, sin embargo, por la situación de pandemia mundial tenían dos años que no realizaban ningún evento.

I am happy to be able to participate in this inicitive of the beautiful Holus Lotus & community, now almost in the final stretch. I believe that we are in this world with real purposes and one of them is to serve and bring joy to the hearts around us and beyond.

I want to tell you that I had the opportunity to witness a beautiful event carried out with great effort by the 1000 and one Motivos Para Sonreir Foundation, which brought joy and surprises to 60 children from low-income families in the community of Antolin del Campo.

This foundation was born as a result of a tragedy that occurred in 1999 in the state of La Guaira, formerly Vargas State, giving a reason to smile at Christmas to the children who suffered so much in those days. Currently they cover several regions of Venezuela, however, due to the world pandemic situation, they had not held any event for two years.

Fue realmente especial no solo presenciar éste acto sino también poder colaborar de alguna manera con mis amigos Christ y Alexis Miranda, quienes llevan adelante el capitulo Nueva Esparta de la Fundación. Ver las caras sonrientes de los niños de mi localidad se traduce en la esencia de la navidad. Navidad es dar y nos lleva a pensar en el sacrificio de nuestro Padre Dios al despojarse de su hijo Jesús y enviarlo a la Tierra para redención de nuestros pecados.

Todo el acto se realizó a base de donaciones que se esperaron con paciencia y que fueron llegando una a una, gracias a Dios. El recinto de la casa cultural se decoró con globos y luces y se entregaron cotillones con dulces y galletas que deleitaron el paladar de los niños. El equipo que trabajó con mis amigos se organizó para ofrecer cantos y bailes alusivos a la navidad y nos regalaron un hermoso pesebre viviente.

It was really special not only to witness this event but also to be able to collaborate in some way with my friends Christ and Alexis Miranda, who lead the Nueva Esparta chapter of the Foundation. Seeing the smiling faces of the children of my town translates into the essence of Christmas. Christmas is giving and it leads us to think about the sacrifice of our Father God when he emptied himself of his son Jesus and sent him to Earth for the redemption of our sins.

The whole event was made on the basis of donations that were patiently awaited and that arrived one by one, thanks to God. The cultural house was decorated with balloons and lights and cotillions with candies and cookies that delighted the palate of the children were handed out. The team that worked with my friends organized themselves to offer songs and dances alluding to Christmas and gave us a beautiful living nativity scene.

Reconozco a la familia Miranda, familia Aristigueta, Danzas Rios de Agua Viva y Coralita Mil y un Motivos, y les animo a seguir adelante en pro de Fueron días de mucha tensión, sin dormir para poder llegar a la meta, y realmente se logró como dicen al final del video los mismos niños que participaron.

En mi país mucha gente está pasando necesidades económicamente y quizá muchísimos padres no tengan para darle a sus hijos algún regalo en navidad, es por eso que estos eventos "ad honorem", por muy sencillos que sean, enaltecen el verdadero sentir de las fiestas decembrinas que es compartir de lo que se tiene, lo cual no siempre es monetario, sino también la disposición para servir.

I recognize the Miranda family, the Aristigueta family, Danzas Rios de Agua Viva and Coralita Mil y un Motivos, and I encourage them to continue to move forward towards the goal, as the children themselves who participated say at the end of the video.

In my country many people are in economic need and perhaps many parents do not have enough money to give their children a gift for Christmas, that is why these "ad honorem" events, as simple as they are, exalt the true meaning of the Christmas holidays, which is to share what we have, which is not always monetary, but also the willingness to serve.
