Hoy traigo una canción que me fascina de mi tierra bonita. Se titula "Ciudad Antañona". Su letra narra de manera poética cómo la Provincia de Margarita, primera en ser independiente del yugo español, luchó de norte a sur y de este a oeste de forma aguerrida.
Margarita es una isla que compone el estado Nueva Esparta junto a las islas Coche y Cubagua. Éste estado de Venezuela se llama así por asemejarse en su valentía a los espartanos de la antigua Grecia.

Today I bring a song that fascinates me from my beautiful land. It's called "Ciudad Antañona". Its lyrics poetically narrate how the Province of Margarita, the first to be independent from the Spanish yoke, fought fiercely from north to south and from east to west.
Margarita is an island that makes up the state of Nueva Esparta together with the Coche and Cubagua islands. This state of Venezuela is named for its bravery resembling the Spartans of ancient Greece.
