Guess The WIP: Crochet Earrings

Happy Monday Needleworkers and contest joiners! Last week has been such a trying moment. I got stressed out, I got worried, I panicked. But I am now back in the game, I got my grip back. I'm fine now. I think.

Last week, we had our Guess the WIP Challenge. And now, since I was stressed out for the whole week, let me show you a video of the reveal. I decided to share the process to you.

And the WIP is for a Crochet earrings! Tadaaaaaaa!!!

This was just a small project but it became a bit challenging because of the choice of yarn and hooks I made. I used the IMIA type hook (but not really IMIA, it's a different brand) for this project. As I mentioned before, I now have 4 sets of crochet hooks. 1 bamboo hooks, 1 metal hook, and 2 with plastic handles for easier grip. I also have an IMIA 7. I used the one coming from the plastic handle set.

If you are after the tight finish of the stitches, I would recommend you go ahead and use a hook size smaller than the hook requirement of your yarn. I'll discuss how to determine that in my next vids and posts.

With the 8 ply yarns, it became a little bit more challenging because strands of the yarn kept slipping away from the hook. I managed to pull it off though. Woot! Woot!

I made a boo boo when I made the WIP announcement. There was a mystery item that I chose not to show. Because once I show the earring hooks, you all will know what the WIP is, right? But I should have stated that there was a mystery item in this project. I know you all would have guessed differently if that clue was stated in the post.
