Comparto con ustedes las fotos que tome de una Orquídea Blanca.

Como siempre estaba en cuestiones de trabajo haciendo una visita técnica en una fundación que ayuda a mujeres y niños en condición de calle y la planta estaba sembrada en el jardín de una de las dos sedes que visite.

Cuando estaba tomando las fotos llego uno de los trabajadores de la fundación y me dijo que él la sembró hace ya un tiempo y casualmente estaba florecida.

Las orquídeas son plantas parasitarias que florecen solo una vez al año, así que tener la oportunidad de ver sus flores es algo fascinante.

Este tipo de orquídea de color blanco son nativas del sur de Asia. Sin embargo, también las podemos encontrar aquí en Latinoamérica.

Son plantas tropicales de hojas verdes y hermosas flores blancas. El hecho de ser tropicales quiere decir que no toleran temperaturas muy bajas por mucho tiempo porque corren el riesgo de morir.

También se le conoce por el nombre de orquídea Luna y puede plantarse tanto en interiores como exteriores.
