[This is a RE-UPLOAD for archival purposes. The original program was an audio only podcast posted on a platform that proved unreliable, so I'm re-sharing here on 3Speak, but DECLINING PAYOUTS. This ain't no money making thing, it's about sharing cool tunes with the PEOPLE! ---RFY]
“Punktronic Disco Dirge #2!!! (A Pirate Radio Thing)” by Richard F. Yates

Hey folks! I’ve finally taken a few hours out of my vacationing, babysitting, NFT making time and recorded a new PIRATE RADIO SHOW!!! The Punktronic Sub-Atomic Orbiting Pirate Satellite Station is BACK! This time, however, the tunes are a bit more DIFFICULT LISTENING. If Doris Day and Andy Williams are EASY LISTENING, this is about as far from those tunes as possible… Not on PURPOSE, though. This is just what I was in the mood for today.

Are you ready? This show is just a tiny bit longer than an hour and six minutes. (I’m trying to keep these episodes to about an hour, but I’m having trouble narrowing things down!!!)

[Opening noises. DJ says something silly. Then tunes…]

The Cramps – “People Ain’t No Good” from A Date with Elvis (1986)
The Punk Group – “Yoda” from International Rock Stars / Tour de Force (2005)
Captain Polaroid – “Shatner” from NineteenEightySeven (2007)

[DJ suffers some kind of head injury and babbles incoherently about a beach or something. It makes no sense, and the management apologizes.]

Divinyls – “Science Fiction” from Desperate (1983)
Funkadelic – “Red Hot Mama” from Finest (2005) (orig. released in 1974)
Chops-EMC + Extensive – “Me’ Israelites” from Me’ Israelites re-release single (2012) (orig. release in 1992)
    A3 – “U Don’t Dance 2 Tekno Anymore” from Exile on Coldharbor Lane (1997)

[Titanium Ed calls during the break and apologizes for not coming to the recording. The DJ tells him it’s okay, then confesses to the sound guy that he forgot Ed was supposed to be there!]

Alien Sex Fiend – “Shit’s Coming Down (Dodger Mix)” from Re-Possessed EP (2019)
Skinny Puppy – “Smothered Hope” from Remission (2001) (orig. released in 1984)
Skold – “Tonight (Rotersand Rework)” from Tonight single (2011)
Charlotte Gainsbourg – “IRM” from IRM (2009)
King Crimson – “21st Century Schizoid Man” from In the Court of the Crimson King (1969)

[The DJ says many confusing things about Walter / slash / Wendy Carlos (who really is a brilliant composer), then plays a chunk of MOVIE SCORE, so if you’re not into that, you can quit listening at this point…if the King Crimson cut or the ASF didn’t already scare you away.]

London Philharmonic Orchestra & Wendy Carlos – “Sea of Simulation” from Tron (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2001) (orig. released in 1982)

[DJ waves at the microphone (forgetting he’s not on camera), then astral projects to the bar for “spirits.” A beloved cartoon character does the sign off…]

Hope you had fun. We at the Punktronic Sub-Atomic Satellite know this was a tough, odd, unnerving selection of tunes this time, but hopefully there were at least a couple in the mix that were new to you and it least slightly interesting to listen to. These cuts have been showcased on this program for educational / appreciation purposes only, and we at Punktronic HIGHLY encourage you to PURCHASE (either on CD or vinyl or digitally) any of the songs that you found entertaining or enjoyable, especially those from performers who can still use the dough! Keep these artists and musicians FED!!!!

    Later skaters!!!
