When co-workers engage in gossiping, you can change the subject. That's the easy and effective way to stop that for the time being. You can simply ask a different question and move the conversation in another direction. You need to keep your goals and priority in mind. You will not waste your time to do gossip because you have better things to do. You can ignore gossipers and just walk away. Don't be the bystander. Find an exit strategy, otherwise, you just encourage them to be a bystander. Set yourself an example and spread positive vibes.
