Tree Tour July 2021

Following clearing my nearly 2 HA of Oak, Pine and Eucalyptus Woodland I'm now into the next phase of the land project which is general tidying of said woodland AND auditing and mulching some of my younger mainly oak trees.

I do want to keep some Pine and Euc, but I'm keen to see more oaks growing up in those areas, and so the plan is to encourage the younger saplings that have migrated over from the Oak area (not in this video) with a bit of pruning out of dead wood and some mulch where required.

I'm only mulching on the 10 metre fire strip around the boundary as the treest left in there are bit exposed, in the inner woodland I've left a bit more humus so they should be fine.

This video is just a quick walk around of the pine woodland area and a look at the state of play: the brash piles, the stacked wood and some of the younger trees too.

On reviewing this I don't why the video is in Landscape, I used my iPad which while more designed for video seems to insist on portratit, hopefully I can just adjust the settings so it's in landscape.

Maybe a microphone for next time too!
