try 'some linux associations' near you.
you will find plenty of people 'to learn'. but generally old 'linux geek people' 'aren't user friendly':

• if you want to learn "they will help you"
  Otherwise 'they won't really care about you'. these people 'are more sane than most'.
  but generally 'not nice people': "the hacker mentality" can be special 'i agree'. 'perso. i don't care about it'.
