Section 3 of https://www.reraeasy.com/services/developers/maharera-registration (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, mandates registration of the real estate project by the promoter before they market, book, offer for sale, or invite people to purchase in any manner any plot, apartment or building.

Through the process of MahaRERA Registration, Promoters not only submit their documents and information to the state RERA Authority for registration, but the same documents and information come under the lens of the general public and prospective buyers.
