    About :

After completing Operation Anchorage, I have unfinished business in the Shadow And Dust - Tales From Southwest DC mod. To see the beginning of the exploration of this mod, watch part 47.
I had already completed Shadow and Dust Vol. 2 before the first one (Tales From Southwest DC). I made that decision because the mod edited a building in the initial area of this DLC (Bailey Crossroads). To avoid potential issues with quest progression, don't exit the Weston Arms Researchh Facility through the front door (01:02) before reaching Bailey Crossroads for the first time. Arrive there through the metro station, talk to Defender Morril, and kill the super mutants. Those steps will ensure the quest progress usually. As far as I know now, you are free to do things the way you want after that.

The full playlist is now available on Youtube and Odysee.

    Follow the timestamps below:

    • 00:26 - I'm at Bailey Crossroads.
    • 01:02 - Entering the Weston Arms Research Facility. I'm attacked by Maelstrom.
    • 01:25 - The Maelstrom's terminal passcode. He also carries a Big Book of Science.
    • 02:20 - A rigged shotgun.
    • 02:41 - A rigged terminal.
    • 02:46 - Accessing Maesltrom's Terminal with the password I found on his body.
    • 05:23 - That Inactive Gauss Rifle isn't working yet.
    • 05:34 - Accessing the Research Terminal.
    • 08:46 - Another Research Terminal.
    • 09:36 - The kitchen and lunch room.
    • 12:00 - A Nikola Tesla and You on the desk.
    • 12:10 - I Take the Safe key. You will need it later!
    • 12:26 - The Head Researcher's Terminal. Read all the information.
    • 13:30 - Heading downstairs to the Bailey Crossroads Metro Tunnel. Feral ghouls will be waiting for you.
    • 15:32 - Be careful. There is a rigged baby carriage near the door.
    • 17:47 - Bumping into more feral ghouls.
    • 18:38 - I lockpick the door to Weston Arms Head Office.
    • 19:30 - We've been here before (Part 109). I disabled the tripwire and collected the rigged shotgun aiming at a Mini Nuke on the table.
    • 19:29 - Lockpicking the (very hard) locked door.
    • 20:46 - The dead scavenger has some loot.
    • 22:00 - I almost missed the "Locked In..." note on the desk.
    • 23:14 - Checking the Security Terminal for more information.
    • 28:16 - Checking the map, then going upstairs.
    • 29:24 - The Proprietary Control Authorization is inside the safe. The key is located in the Weston Arms laboratory, on the dead research leader's desk (12:10).
    • 30:56 - Heading downstairs to the Utility Tunnel. Lots of feral ghouls in the tunnel.
    • 32:50 - A reminder that this tunnel connects the Nuka Cola Plant with the mod locations.
    • 33:12 - The door to the west leads to the Nuka Cola Lounge. Protectrons guard the place.
    • 33:50 - That display case contains The Extinctonator. It's a unique weapon of this mod.
    • 34:00 - Don't forget the Special key in the display case.
    • 35:23 - The Lounge Terminal.
    • 36:20 - Door to another section of the Utility Tunnel. More feral ghouls inside.
    • 37:51 - I open the sewer hole with the Special key.
    • 38:57 - The "Surviving So Far..." note is on a desk.
    • 40:44 - That chess match doesn't seem to have ended well.
    • 41:00 - Hacking the Desk Terminal to open the hatch.
    • 41:19 - Warning! There is a frag mine and a mini-nuke on top of the terminal.
    • 41:40 - The Caleb Bradburton's Terminal. The Blue Cards give you good karma. Red Cards give you bad karma. That's all about it, folks. It's those cards you find across the game, I presume.
    • 44:59 - I'll return all the way back to the Weston Arms Research Facility. You can fast-travel from the nearby wasteland exit door. I'll show the way back through the tunnels and ruined buildings.
    • 52:28 - Accessing the Head Researcher's Terminal. I click on the "Activate Weapon PC" option. Congratulations! The Weston Arms Mk Gauss Rifle is finally yours.
    • 52:58 - It's a powerful weapon.

Shadow and Dust - Tales From Southwest DC is completed, as far as I know.
