This post also includes my Larry the Postman information at the end.
I have never learned the right way to include a 3Speak video in my PeakD posts without the video being duplicated orphan somewhere because of tags or community specified for the video.
So, yesterday I decided to use the "Add post to your hive blog section feature" of 3Speak.
I never did this before because 3Speak doesn't have templates and no upload image capability. It dawn on me yesterday, that I could copy the template code without a problem. But, what about pictures?
If you click the image icon in 3Speak, you don't get the choice of upload image or image link. You get a skeleton sting of Markdown code to fill in. ( string of code won't print.)
To fill in that html, I thought I would have to use my hosting service to store the image for use in the post. A lot of images I use in posts will only be used in a single post. I did not want to start saving hundreds of images on my hosting service that would on be used once.
Then the lightbulp went off. (This is the part everyone but me probably already knew.)
I don' I upload the image on a draft PeakD document and then copy the result into this post. I was not sure it would work but it was worth a try.
So I opened a new post in PeakD
I clicked on the upload images under the image icon and selected the image I wanted.
Clicked the open button which upload the image and created the markdown code.
I copied the code and pasted in this post and POOF the image appears.
Then I delete the PeakD post.
If there is a better way, please let me know in the comments. If not, I hope you find this useful. Now if 3Speak would just get a better way to preview your post, I would be all set.
Now here is my Larry the Postman information. I guess the video is at the top. I see if I can move it once the post is done.
See You At The Bank,
Bob Caine
