After defeating the Artillery boss it's time to go and do some exploring. I did also take some time off camera to run through the earlier areas of the game to see if there were any things we missed. There were some weapons and lesser items we missed actually so good thing I did that. We won't be using any of them though. We also found our very own little jukebox which is pretty funny.

A funny thing I found out during this episode while exploring the Observatory is that if you die there (yes I died there) then the Ghost will sit by the breach just to mock us or something. I'm just glad I didn't have to fight that asshole. Nonetheless this was a pretty cool area to explore. It included a great jumping puzzle that lead to the discovery of a pretty decent secret left behind by the developers. There's some fourth wall breaching happening here for sure.

We also go through the rest of the Ikari Walkways that we didn't explore and things get pretty interesting here. Apparently certain areas of the map get locked behind fog walls from time to time and we get to fight something like an horde invasion. Pretty cool. We got a decent item from that even though I didn't end up using it.

I later found out that this event was tied to the clock in the upper left. This is something I didn't know until after finishing the game which was kinda stupid. I wish the game would have explained this to us instead of it being something we had to figure out ourselves. Turns out that as the space station orbits around the black hole certain events trigger based on that. At certain times these events will trigger and at other times enemies might be stronger or there might be special unique items. Had I known this earlier I would have done some more exploring during those events, but alas.
