When I first came into Kharkiv, I was shocked to see these old residential buildings. Most of them are 50-60 years old and I was not so sure how people are living in such old buildings. I mean when I saw the exterior of the building for the first time, I was confused. Window frames were broken, concrete and plaster look old, entrances are not defined, and many things. But later I understood why Ukrainian people prefer such types of buildings for living rather than new buildings. They are strong and comfortable to live in. Minor yearly Maintainance is needed but that's nothing.
