There is a Bengali proverb called "ধর্ম যার যার উৎসব সবার"
which means festivals are for everyone no matter what your religion is. Obviously, still, now people have a lot of opinion on this topic/proverb in fact many do debate on it.
Let me share a true story, I have seen an individual from different religion going into a mosque, I have seen a Muslim celebrate Puza with his Hindu friends. Obviously, religion is a very sensitive topic and there is a lot of perspectives too as religion is personal and it's your choice.
I celebrate festivals with my friends from different religions as they also celebrate my festivals with me. They enjoy and believe in humanity maintaining their own religion as well. They respect my perspective so do I but when it comes to sharing joy and happiness through festivals then why I will stay behind or step behind...
Thanks a lot for watching...
