Hello Gamers !!

Today i am bringing you a new game quite fun. Have you ever heard of or played Cup Head ???

The game was launched in 2017 and got my attention when i saw the launch video. Somehow i ended up forgeting about it, but luckly i've stumbled him again and this time i grabed it.

The game is a 2d action/shooter plataform. a difficult one. The graphics are cartoonish, just like all the sounds in the game. it really feels like you are playing a cartoon. again, a difficult one. The art is pretty cool. Enough to grabs Netflix attentiom. Cup Head got its own show now. From game to Tv, how awesome is this ? =D

The controls are pretty simple, just the standard like any plattaform games. Jump, shoot, dodge, special attack. Even its simple, sometimes i get brain freezed trying to dodge all those attacks.

Storyline

The story is about these 2 cup heads, brothers who live in Inkwell Island. Everything was fine, until the day they entered the Devil's Casino. lol.

They were doing pretty well, but the devil himself made an extreme bet with them, all the casino loot for their souls. I guess Cuphead didn't think much before accepting it right away, lol. His brother Mugman tried to warn him, but it was too late. After loosing the bet, they try to negotiate with the devil, and end up turning into devil's bounty hunters. Now they have to hunt down all the creatures that were also in debt with the devil.

Well, after kicking the boys out of the casino, they ran back to the elder to figure out what they should do. The Elder give the boys some special powers and now it is time for the adventure to start !

The Game

Through this adventure, you will mostly face bosses ! The ones who were in debt with the devil, so you can guess they aren't really awesome people. All Bosses have unique mechanics, and you will need to understand each of them before being able to beat each stage. It is almost impossible to clear a stage in first try, beside the first 3-4 bosses.

The game is divided in different Islands, each of them with different bosses, and a few special stages. Special stages are usually a run and gun thing. you might find mini bosses on it, but it is pretty much all about dodging and geting to the finish line alive. These stages In my oppinion are the hardest ones so far.

Bosses also have 2 kind of difficults, Simple and Regular, to be able to grab the contract, you must beat him in the Regular difficulty. You will be graded after finishing the level, if you manage to complete the objectives (parry, supreme meter and life) you will get a good rank and a Golden post will be displayed on the stage, you will see this in the Gameplay to make it clearer.

The Shop

There is a Shop in each island, where you can grab upgrades for your characters, there are different weapons, life upgrades, dashes upgrades, special weapons, extra lifes and much more. As you unlock one upgrade, another one becomes available. I've tested some of them myself and the dashes upgrades seems really overpowered, im willing to see what will be available next. To buy these stuff, you must collect those coins you get on the special stages. There are some Mausoleuns around that will also give you and upgrade after beating the stage !

The Mini Stages

These mini stages are all about plattaform jumping, dodging and running ! You have to get a good time in this stages in order to get the "golden post". You can get a "Pefect" score in these maps, but i still could not get it, even doing all the side missions, all i can get is a A+. These stages are quite hard, because they look simples. weird huh ? But yes, you are sure you can run this 1 handed and with eyes closed, but you keep geting hit by all these weird stuff lol.

The Bosses

In this game play i have fought a few bosses already, i am playing in simple and reguar, so you can check the difference between them. On the left i will display the Simple version, and at the right the Regular boss version and its extra stage. The first one i fought was :

The Root Pack in "Botanic Panic"

This was a pretty simple fight. his attacks were pretty slow and easy to dodge, its second stage on simples version is this Crazy Carrot, also very easy to kill. In the Regular version, it will have an extra middle stage, that is this Onion, also extremely simple to beat. As it is the first boss, i think it is cool to let the player adapt to the controls before. So the stage fits perfectly here. After beating him, i headed to the second boss.

Ribby and Croacks in "Clip Joint Calamity"

At first this boss is scary, 2 enemies always tend to screw me up. But it is actually a pretty simple fight. They doesn't have many different attacks, and all you have to do is dodge their power punches. Once in the simple version, they will split sides, and a wind blow will try to make things difficult for you, but as you will see, there was nothing much to worry. In the Regular version he turns into a slot machine, with some random "prizes". In this fight i think i got the most annoying one. Time for the last boss i ran.

Goopy le Grande in "Ruse of an Ooze"

Well, Goopy got me a few times. In the simple mode, there is no big trouble about it, he just keeps jumping around, and trying to headbut you with a special attack, but its pretty easy to predict and dodge when it is comming. On the Regular mode, its speed and jumps change a little bit, so sometimes i get confused and end up geting hit lol. His extra stage is this Tombstone who will try to smash you. Also not a big deal, the previsou stage with the jumping Ooze is definitely harder in my oppinion. Time for the last boss i did in this run.

So far i am doing okay. But i can forsee some really hard stuff right ahead. i will try this with my gf in CO-OP mode, it is gonna be a total chaos. I Love when her try to play this kind of games, i told her "it is just like Mickey Circus Adventure from SNES, you will love it"

Gameplay and Conclusion

So far i am loving the game. Its fun to play, its challenging, and i cant wait to try it in 2 players mode. I will try to bring all the bosses in the upcomming videos. I am 100% sure i will play this game nonstop until i finish it. I love simple and awesome games. and this is definitely one of them.
