Hello! The holiest day of the year for the whole Christian society - Christmas.

This day as everywhere in the world is a day when the family comes together. Relatives and family members come from far away places to celebrate the holiday together.

It is a family celebration in which love, appreciation and prosperity are spread.

On this holy night, tradition demands that there be an odd number of fasting dishes on the festive table.

Some of the main dishes that are put on it are the ritual bread, cabbage or vine sarmies, stuffed peppers with white bean oshaf - a special sweet fruit soup.

The specific thing about this bread is that it is made with bicarbonate of soda and not yeast. A coin wrapped in tinfoil or baking paper is placed in it.

At the holiday dinner this bread is cracked by the oldest person at the gathering, each piece being called on something. The first piece is left for the Virgin Mary, the second is called to the house - so that it is always so full of people and with a full table.

Walnuts, fresh and dried fruits are present on the table which add to the beauty of the table.

Each hostess surprises with her skills in preparing the dishes and arranging the table.

On this night the dishes remain on the table all night - nothing is put away except the empty plates of course.

Este día, como en todo el mundo, es un día en el que la familia se reúne. Los parientes y familiares vienen de lugares lejanos para celebrar juntos la fiesta.

Es una celebración familiar en la que se difunden el amor, el aprecio y la prosperidad.

En esta noche santa, la tradición exige que haya un número impar de platos de ayuno en la mesa festiva.

Algunos de los platos principales que se ponen en ella son el pan ritual, los sarmientos de col o vid, los pimientos rellenos con oshaf de judías blancas, una sopa especial de fruta dulce.

Lo específico de este pan es que se elabora con bicarbonato de sodio y no con levadura. Se le pone una moneda envuelta en papel de aluminio o papel de horno.

En la cena festiva este pan es partido por la persona de más edad de la reunión, llamándose a cada trozo de algo. El primer trozo se deja para la Virgen María, el segundo se llama a la casa, para que siempre esté llena de gente y con la mesa llena.

En la mesa hay nueces, frutas frescas y secas que añaden belleza a la mesa.
