Hello PukuMundo Family!
It feels good to be here with you all for the first time. In line with the theme for this week “The Singing Voice”, I will be singing an all-time favourite from the rock genre known as “We Are The Champions” by the amazing rock band “Queen”.

This British rock band was formed in London in 1970. The band's classic line-up was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass).

The band fused glam rock, camp theatrics, and heavy metal in their music. This served as a great push for their music career and launched them into fame back in the 1970s. Given the amount of popularity and contribution of Queen over the years, they got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Queen was notable for some of their really great hits in Rock music. Their melody was rooted in rock and highly theatrical. Their breakthrough track “Seven Seas of Rhye” set the tone for other great singles. Some of their notable works include Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, You’re My Best Friend, etc.

Es un placer estar aquí con todos ustedes por primera vez. En consonancia con el tema de esta semana, "La voz cantante", voy a cantar una de las canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos del género del rock, conocida como "We Are The Champions ", de la increíble banda de rock "Queen ".

Esta banda de rock británica se formó en Londres en 1970. La formación clásica de la banda era Freddie Mercury (voz principal, piano), Brian May (guitarra, voz), Roger Taylor (batería, voz) y John Deacon (bajo).

La banda fusionaba en su música el glam rock, la teatralidad campestre y el heavy metal. Esto supuso un gran impulso para su carrera musical y los lanzó a la fama en la década de 1970. Dada la popularidad y la contribución de Queen a lo largo de los años, entraron en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll.

Queen destacó por algunos de sus grandes éxitos en la música rock. Su melodía estaba arraigada en el rock y era muy teatral. Su tema estrella "Seven Seas of Rhye" marcó la pauta para otros grandes singles. Algunos de sus trabajos notables son Bohemian Rhapsody, Don't Stop Me Now, You're My Best Friend, etc.
