Psychiatrist Dr. Mark McDonald says the pandemic has traumatized children like war victims and stunted brain development.

"I don’t think they’re going to bounce back. I think each one of these children is going to need to be deprogrammed and treated. And I mean really treated by a therapist for weeks or months or perhaps years for some of them in order to return to their former self.”

McDonald points to a Brown University Department of Pediatrics study that compared the IQs of babies born before January 1, 2020 and those born after January 1, 2020.
