Hello Hivers!
I decided to play among my favorite hymns "Pass me not, O Gentle Savior" I used a b-flat trumpet and I played the hymn on Key D that's C major on the piano. Why it is like that is because my trumpet is a B-flat or A# instrument, therefore if the Piano plays on F major I play on G major to play on equal sound with the Piano so also if the Piano is on G major I play on A major to play on equal sound with the Piano. The logic here now is that The B-flat trumpet plays two keys ahead of the Piano to give equal tone.
We do some musical calculations to be able to flow together with the Piano specially on occasions where a trumpet is needed to play along with the Piano, but there are other types of trumpet like the C trumpet. As for that one you don't need to transpose to play together a Piano you can play on equal key and you will get equal sound that's the logic behind this set of instrument and with the Piano.
I decided to sing and play my trumpet on Pass me not O Gentle Savior hope you have a good time here
Lyrics
Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior
Pass me not, O gentle Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by
Savior, Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by
Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief
Kneeling there in deep contrition
Help my unbelief
Savior, Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by
Trusting only in Thy merit
Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit
Save me by Thy grace
Savior, Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by
Thou the spring of all my comfort
More than life to me
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in Heav'n but Thee?
Savior, Savior
Hear my humble cry
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by
While on others Thou art calling
Do not pass me by
Thanks for your time
