Good day friends and family of Hive and welcome to week 14 round two of the Hive Music Festival. Today I bring to us a Trumpet cover of "Overflow" by Dr. Tumi. This is one among the Christian songs I fell in love with in my early university days when our chapel choir rendered the song as their special ministration. Apart from the calm and slow tempo of the song I so much love what the song describe the condition of a believer. It is our earnest desire that the glory of God shines upon our lives since we have dedicated our hearts to worship and follow Him. The hunger to follow God and do His will cannot be satisfied because when we are satisfied following God we might not want to follow Him any longer again. In this song the hunger for our God is described as we being tasty but this is not a physical tastiness for water. This is the tastiness for the living water, the water that never runs dry and it's my earnest prayer that God fills us up with Himself till we overflow. Buenos días amigos y familia de Hive y bienvenidos a la segunda ronda de la semana 14 del Hive Music Festival. Hoy les traigo un cover a trompeta de "Overflow" de Dr. Tumi. Esta es una de las canciones cristianas de las que me enamoré en mis primeros días de universidad cuando el coro de nuestra capilla interpretó la canción como su ministerio especial. Aparte del tempo tranquilo y lento de la canción, me encanta cómo describe la canción la condición de un creyente.
Es nuestro ferviente deseo que la gloria de Dios brille sobre nuestras vidas ya que hemos dedicado nuestro corazón a adorarlo y seguirlo. El hambre de seguir a Dios y hacer Su voluntad no puede ser satisfecha porque cuando estamos satisfechos de seguir a Dios, es posible que no queramos seguirlo más. En esta canción, el hambre de nuestro Dios se describe como que somos sabrosos, pero esto no es un gusto físico por el agua. Este es el sabor del agua viva, el agua que nunca se seca y es mi oración ferviente que Dios nos llene de sí mismo hasta que nos desbordemos.
