The march of the lemmings, is the opening track of the EP Super Nova of my band Overground. The lemmings is a class of rodents that live in the tundra of the arctic polar circle, a documentary of a North American well-known company create the myth of the suicide of the lemmings. According to this legend, these animals when having a very short reproduction cycle, their population grows in excess and one of the consequences is a mass suicide. Although denied the myth create at the moment an allegory with the human race that would head toward the mass suicide after reaching population's excess. And of that its the topic of the song. La marcha de los lemmings, es el tema apertura del EP Súper Nova de mi banda Overground. Los lemmings son una clase de roedores que viven en las tundras del círculo polar ártico, un documental de una reconocida empresa norteamericana creó el mito del suicidio de los lemmings. Según esta leyenda, estos animales al tener un ciclo de reproducción muy corto, crece en exceso su población y una de las consecuencias es un suicidio en masa. Aunque desmentido actualmente el mito creó una alegoría con la raza humana que luego de alcanzar un exceso de población se encaminaría hacia el suicidio en masa. Y de eso trata la canción. For the frozen prairies
They begin their frenetic race
Thousands of millions of hungry rodents
Eating and destroying everything to their step.
Leaving one way of disaster and desolation
They are living food
For wolves, bears and owls
Running they seek the annihilation

Sea, cold sea;
In the cold sea they finish their run.
To swim, they begin to swim;
They begin to swim to die drowned.

An inexplicable attitude
Collective suicide
After destroying
They choose the obliteration
This only could repeat it by the humanity
When they overpopulate the earth
They shall imitate the holocaust
But some will always survive
To restart the march of the lemmings.
