meet again dear friends of Pukumundo @hive-142415 I hope everyone is well, I have seen some entries and as always it is a great pleasure to participate in this contest with talented people and share our passion for music and good rock. I was a little lost but well, I'm here again to interpret a song that I've always loved, it's the Enanitos Verdes song called "Amores Lejanos". I have a very emotional memory of the music of Enanitos Verdes and Lamento Boliviano was a hymn that brought many of us closer to rock in Spanish. That was one of the first songs I learned on guitar so I dedicate this interpretation of "Amores Lejanos" to the memory of the great Marciano Cantero, who was the vocalist of this legendary Latin American band and who contributed so much to Spanish-speaking rock.
LYRICS
Nothing is happening this afternoon
The streets seem deserted
Carmencita went on a trip
And maybe I'll never see her again
I'm looking out the window
The asphalt shining pearls
The places I used to frequent
They don't attract or interest me
And though you're not here today I'm planning
Again and again distant loves
And even though today you're not here I open my arms to you
I'll stay here waiting
This afternoon nothing happens
I can't forget her
I've been thinking about her for a monthAnd I don't know if she remembers me
My future is a little uncertain
But that's not the problem
Where do I put my feelings
If tonight there's a full moonAnd even though you're not here today I'm planning
Again and again distant loves
And even though you're not here today I open my arms to you
I'll stay here waiting.
