Hello to all the participants, musicians, and other people that are part of the @hiveopenmic community. I haven't posted for a while because I've had problems with my internet connection. Anyway, I'm back again, and happy to share with you some traditional Venezuelan music in the company as always of my Venezuelan cuatro.
The song that I am going to interpret is called "Mar de la virgen bonita". The author is Gilberto Mejías Palazzi of the musical genre DANZA. It is a song that I really like to play and interpret. I hope you like it, both those who like Venezuelan music and those who don't know it so well.Enjoy it and let's keep trusting the process.
Está la costa oriental
Con crepúsculos de auroras
Santiguada por las olas
Que bañan a Porlamar.
Hay una iglesia en Santa Ana
Y un castillo en Santa Rosa
Donde probó su heroismo
La mujer venezolana,
Un multicolor encanto
La Laguna de Arestinga,
Con su atardecer tranquilo
Que se va pintando el cielo,
Dibujando en el paisaje
Sus barquitos y veleros.
Pampatar, con su castillo
Y el Fortín de La Caranta,
El mirador de Juan Griego,
Que es noche, luna y encanta.
Su playa, embrujo caribe,
Madre y cuna de las perlas,
Mar de la Virgen del valle,
Mar de la Virgen Bonita...
Hay una iglesia en Santa Ana
Y un castillo en Santa Rosa
Donde probó su heroismo
La mujer venezolana,
Un multicolor encanto
La Laguna de Arestinga,
Con su atardecer tranquilo
Que se va pintando el cielo,
Dibujando en el paisaje
Sus barquitos y veleros.
Pampatar, con su castillo
Y el Fortín de La Caranta,
El mirador de Juan Griego,
Que es noche, luna y encanta.
Su playa, embrujo caribe,
Madre y cuna de las perlas,
Mar de la Virgen del Valle,
Mar de la Virgen Bonita...
There is a church in Santa Ana
And a castle in Santa Rosa
Where she proved her heroism
The Venezuelan woman,
A multicolored charm
The lagoon of Arestinga,
With its peaceful sunset
That paints the sky,
Drawing in the landscape
Its little boats and sailboats.
Pampatar, with its castle
And the fort of La Caranta,
The viewpoint of Juan Griego,
That is night, moon and enchantment.
Its beach, Caribbean enchantment,
Mother and cradle of pearls,
Sea of the Virgin of the valley,
Sea of the Virgin Bonita...
There is a church in Santa Ana
And a castle in Santa Rosa
Where she proved her heroism
The Venezuelan woman,
A multicolored charm
The lagoon of Arestinga,
With its peaceful sunset
That paints the sky,
Drawing in the landscape
Its little boats and sailboats.
Pampatar, with its castle
And the fort of La Caranta,
The viewpoint of Juan Griego,
That is night, moon and enchantment.
Its beach, Caribbean enchantment,
Mother and cradle of pearls,
Sea of the Virgin of the Valley,
Sea of the Virgin Bonita
