Saludos amigos ya amigas de Hive Open Mic, estoy muy emocionado y agradecido de poder compartir algo de musica con uds. Hace poco que hice mi prsentación para Hive, pero como es la primera vez que publico una participación en Open Mic, me gustaría hacer una breve presentación: Mi nombre es Oswaldo Javier Torres Sanchez y de soy tornero mecánico de oficio sin embargo, la música siempre ha sido una pasión para mi. Actualmente toco el cuatro venezolano y estoy aprendiendo cuatro solista, aunque mis gustos musicales son amplios me verán compartiendo bastante música tradicional venezolana.

Greetings friends and friends of Hive Open Mic, I am very excited and grateful to be able to share some music with you. I recently made my presentation for Hive, but as this is the first time I publish a participation in Open Mic, I would like to make a brief introduction: My name is Oswaldo Javier Torres Sanchez and I am a mechanical lathe operator by trade, however, music has always been a passion for me. I currently play the Venezuelan cuatro and I am learning the solo cuatro, although my musical tastes are wide, you will see me sharing a lot of traditional Venezuelan music.

Bueno, en esta ocasión voy a tocar una canción venezolana tradicional, es un vals venezolano llamado "Preciosa Merideña" letra y música de Pedro J. Castellanos. Esta canción ha sido interpretada por grandes cantantes venezolanos como Ilan Chester. Yo les voy a regalar mi interpretación que si bien no es perfecta he tratado de hacerlo lo mejor posible. Es innegable que la música hace del mundo un lugar mejor para todos tal y como lo dice la imágen de esta edición de Hive Open Mic "A better world for all". La música nos conecta y nos quita las diferencias de raza, religión o pensamiento. Asi que no me queda mas que dejarles allí mi video y espero que puedan echarle un vistazo.

Well, this time I am going to play a traditional Venezuelan song, it is a Venezuelan waltz called "Preciosa Merideña" lyrics and music by Pedro J. Castellanos. This song has been interpreted by great Venezuelan singers like Ilan Chester. I am going to give you my interpretation that although it is not perfect I have tried to do my best. It is undeniable that music makes the world a better place for all as the image of this edition of Hive Open Mic says "A better world for all". Music connects us and removes the differences of race, religion or thought. So I just have to leave my video there and I hope you can take a look at it.
