It is a Biological term that almost nobody knows about but they are common in aquariums with natural plantings!     Soy experto en acuarofilia y recientemente monte un acuario de 100litros con un plantado natural, en realidad es un poco mas avanzado que un LOW TEC, y por conocimiento y experiencia se que cuando realizamos un montaje de acuario al colocar el sustrato aparecera una "baba" blanca que bordeara todos nuestros troncos y plantas, en realidad sucede este fenomeno Biologico porque el agua tiene un alto nivel de nutrientes y como consecuencia se forma esta colonias de bacterias!🐟🐠


    Answering our question which is: (Zoogloea) well then we can define it as a biofilm or small layer that is formed in a certain space and that is composed of thousands of microorganisms in the form of colonies! it actually looks like bacilli or small, fine cylinders that clump together in large numbers!😲🧫
    Respondiendo a nuestra interrogante que es: (Zoogloea) bien entonces podemos definirla como una biopelicula o pequeña capa que se forma en un determinado espacio y que esta compuesta por miles de microorganismos en forma de colonias! en realidad tiene aspecto en forma de bacilos o pequeños y finos cilindros que se agrupan en grandes cantidades!🤓🔬👨‍💻


    This is what a Zoogloea biofilm looks like out of water, it looks sticky and slimy, but when we take it to the microscope we see an amazing image composed of thousands of bacteria, the truth is that they are harmless in our aquarium and what they do is feed on the nutrients, too help break down ammonia! I always advise removing it little by little because it makes our aquarium look ugly!👨‍🏫👨‍🎓
    Asi luce una biopelicula de Zoogloea fuera del agua tiene un aspecto pegajoso y baboso, pero cuando la llevamos al microscopio vemos una imagen alucinante compuesta por miles de bacterias, la verdad son inofensivas en nuestro acuario y lo que hacen es alimentarse de los nutrientes, tambien ayudan a descomponer amonio! yo siempre aconsejo retirarla poco a poco porque da un aspecto feo a nuestro acuario!🧫🔬🧠

    Sus caracteristicas Biologicas son clasificadas mediante su respiracion como "aerobicas" que quiere decir esto? que para realizar la respiracion y funcion fisiologica deben tomar el O2 del medio, tambien estan clasificadas como "gram-negativas" osea no se tiñen de azul cuando le colocamos un compuesto de tincion como por ejemplo el azul de metileno o lugol! en realidad en la muestra teniña veremos que las ramificaciones o bacilos no se tiñen!🧠🔬

    Es primera vez que veo ejemplares de espiroquetas, creo que no veia unos desde la universidad, y es interesante porque solo crecen aqui en la zoogloea, lo que nos da una idea que es un medio rico donde organismos especificos pueden crecer! las espiroquetas son un ejemplo perfecto de gram negativas sus celulas son alargadas parecido a un "zig zag" por supuesto no podemos cerrar el post si no vemos los movimientos de las espiroquetas disfruta de mi video!👨‍🎓🧬🧪

    Ya aqui podemos ver la capa de colonias en una Zoogloea son tantas que no da para diferenciar pero con un zoom mayor comenzamos a ver pequeños detalles de los bacilos y otras bacterias que se unen a la colonia, lei en internet que la zoogloea esta compuesta de "Zoogloeaceae" es asi como se les clasifica la "familia" taxonomicamente!🧠🧪🧬

    lo que sucede es que parecen estar en forma de ramificaciones pero estan unidas con "polimeros extracelulares" en forma de fibrillas! toda la "baba" es una agrupacion de polisacaridos es muy interesante estudiarlas porque ellas tienen la propiedad de realizar: "floculacion" osea material extracelular o "la famosa baba" el problema es que son insolubles en agua y por eso no logran desintegrarse en el agua! 👨‍🎓🧫💙


    Do you know what caught my attention? that when looking for scientific works such as this: (Infante, 2011) "the extracellular matrix expelled by zoogloeas serve at the physical-chemical level as wastewater treatment, just like the manufacture of biodegradable plastic" it is very interesting to see how the author gives us a different approach and the various uses that these bacteria have in improving our environment! so it would be interesting to continue to carry out studies on them!😲👨‍🏫
    Saben que llamo mi atencion? que cuando busque trabajos cientificos como por ejemplo este: (infante,2011) "la matriz extracelular que expulsan las zoogloeas sirven a nivel fisico-quimico como tratadores de agua residuales, al igual que la fabricacion de plastico biodegradable" es muy interesante ver como el autor nos da un enfoque diferente y los diversos usos que tienen estas bacterias en la mejora de nuestro medio ambiente! por lo que seria interesante continuar a realizar estudios sobre ellas!🤓🧬
