A big shout out to the #hiveopenmic community. For this week # 63 the reference theme is: "Storyteller" In this opportunity I am going to tell you through a declamation, the story of: "Elias's wife" This is an original song that I composed 3 years ago, and this formed by stanzas with rhymes watilo verses and with a llanero waltz rhythm for verses, typical of the Venezuelan plains. The story refers to a piece of advice that Elias's grandmother gives him, where she tells him not to marry a catira woman, because they are always aware of his earrings and rings, something like coquetry. Although I can say that in love who rules is the heart, there is no color, if it is tall or short, fat or skinny, love is stronger than everything.

    aretes y sortijas.

    Mientras mi abuela me hablaba,

    "Elijah's wife"
My grandmother told me one day, don't marry Catira
Because they are always thinking of her
    earrings and rings.

While my grandmother was talking to me
    I was thinking of Maria
A blonde with green eyes, very active white skin,
Who decided to be my wife and I also her husband.

    • He had golden hair, which is called catiras,
If my grandmother had seen her suffer a heart attack, she would die,
But I think they are not all the same, I trusted myself catira.

Maria wanted to know the Town of Santa Lucía,
where I have my farm with bulls and many calved cows,
At least the food, he would never lack.

So I took her to town and she was happy with me.
Holding hands we went to the movies.

At no time did I let go of my precious cat
and my friends criticized me, because I did not go out with them,
is that I could not leave my precious cat alone.

Sometimes I would hide when I went out with her
Because in her tight clothes, she looked very daring.

Take off those clothes Maria! I told him annoying one day
Is that she surprised me every time she got dressed
And he answered me very haughty, what's the matter, Elias!
I don't like long dresses, those are for the fat ones
and my waist is very thin.

Sure! her reasons had, she 24 years old, I 20 above
And I thought the best thing was to end this nightmare.

-And I said-, take your bags Maria, I don't want to continue with you,
Yours is a compact, a mirror and a hair salon,
You don't like doing the laundry, much less the kitchen
So you dumped me right now and I ran out of "catira".

Now I will look for another woman, a brunette with light eyes
That I clean the house well and that I wash my clothes,
Let it cook early, before the roosters crow.
Feed the chickens three parrots and some birds.
Help me milk the cows, make cheese by hand,
That fixes the pants, the ones that I wear to work,
And take care of my five children, when they return from the trip.
"I still think that in love, the heart is the boss, and you can fall in love regardless of color or race.
