Diseño estilo pixel art para los stickers del HIVERS GAMING DAY

Hola hivers, ¿qué tal todo? Con respecto a la reciente realización del HIVERS GAMING DAY en nuestras instalaciones, el día de hoy les hemos preparado un video sobre la elaboración de uno de nuestros super stickers 🙌 la talentosa hiver @josegrech fue la encargada de realizar la línea gráfica del evento.

Hi hivers, what's up, regarding the recent HIVERS GAMING DAY in our facilities, today we have prepared a video about the elaboration of one of our super stickers 🙌 the talented hiver @josegrech was in charge of making the graphic line of the event.

¿Aún no sabes de que trató el evento? No te preocupes, ya te vamos a contar un poco 😁 fue un día lleno de juegos en el cual realizamos una competencia bastante entretenida, para esto organizamos 7 estaciones de juegos tanto de video y realidad virtual como de mesa. Al participar en cada una de estas estaciones estabas compitiendo por obtener uno de estos stickers y al final de la noche, aquellos gamers que recolectaran la mayor cantidad serían los supremos ganadores de esta primera edición 😏 Realizamos la entrega de un total de 10 premios, los ganadores del primer y segundo lugar obtuvieron un micrófono profesional y el resto de ganadores, hasta el décimo lugar obtuvieron una taza alusiva al evento 🙌

Still don't know what the event was about? don't worry, we are going to tell you a little bit 😁 it was a day full of games in which we made a very entertaining competition, for this we organized 7 gaming stations both video and virtual reality and tabletop. By participating in each of these stations you were competing to get one of these stickers and at the end of the night, those gamers who collected the most would be the supreme winners of this first edition 😏 We made the delivery of a total of 10 prizes, the winners of first and second place got a professional microphone and the rest of the winners, until the tenth place got a mug alluding to the event 🙌.

Este diseño de GAME OVER fue entregado a todos los participantes al finalizar la actividad, haciendo referencia a que la partida había culminado y lo mejor fue que todos podían llevarse a casa los stickers que habían recolectado así hubiesen sido ganadores de alguno de los premios. Elegimos la temática retro porque sentimos que quedaría genial combinarla con los juegos de video de los años 80 y 90. Para la creación del sticker, @josegrech decidió construir algo que no rompiera con la identidad base del evento, que era el estilo pixel, pero incorporando algo de las tendencias del diseño en los ochenta, como lo fue el efecto glitch.

This GAME OVER design was handed out to all the participants at the end of the activity, indicating that the game was over and the best part was that everyone could take home the stickers they had collected even if they had won one of the prizes. We chose the retro theme because we felt it would be great to combine it with the video games of the 80s and 90s. For the creation of the sticker, @josegrech decided to build something that would not break with the basic identity of the event, which was the pixel style, but incorporating some of the design trends of the eighties, such as the glitch effect.

Fue realizado en Adobe Illustrator, para trabajar más cómodamente con los vectores. En el proceso se utilizó la tipografía original del evento, bautizada como Press Start 2P y disponible en Google Fonts. Primero se convirtieron a formas las palabras "Game Over" y usando las herramientas Creador de Formas y Buscatrazos se lograron separar las letras el líneas horizontales que posteriormente fueron movidas aleatoriamente tanto a la izquierda como a la derecha para crear el efecto de pantalla fuera de señal.

It was done in Adobe Illustrator, to work more comfortably with vectors. In the process the original event typography was used, named Press Start 2P and available in Google Fonts. First the words "Game Over" were converted to shapes and using the tools Shape Creator and Shape Search the letters were separated into horizontal lines that were then moved randomly to the left and right to create the effect of screen out of signal.

Luego se copió a la capa principal un total de 4 veces más y a cada una se le dió un tono diferente: Dos rojas y dos azules. El efecto glitch originalmente está hecho a base de degradados, pero en pro a no romper el esquema de pixel se prefirió hacer un tipo de degradado con una dureza mayor; al estilo paisaje de nintendo.

Then it was copied to the main layer a total of 4 more times and each was given a different shade: Two red and two blue. The glitch effect is originally based on gradients, but in order not to break the pixel scheme it was preferred to make a type of gradient with a higher hardness; nintendo landscape style.

Se desplazaron de igual manera las demás capas de colores, siguiendo el estilo deseado. Finalmente para dar un resultado más detallado, se añadieron uno a uno pequeños pixeles que simularon partículas en el aire. Una vez obtenido el diseño central, se tomó la base pre-realizada par el resto de los stickers, de igual manera con el estilo pixel. Como plus, se añadió una pequeña firma con el nombre de orinoco.io

The other color layers were moved in the same way, following the desired style. Finally, to give a more detailed result, small pixels were added one by one that simulated particles in the air. Once the central design was obtained, the pre-made base was taken for the rest of the stickers, in the same way with the pixel style. As a bonus, a small signature was added with the name of orinoco.io
