Hello everyone, good day and welcome to Hive Music Festival (HMF) Week 135, Round 3!

My name is @oluthomas, and for this week’s entry, I will be singing one of my favourite gospel songs, a very powerful song that truly transformed my life. I can boldly say that if you take the time to listen to this song too the way I do, your spirit will bear witness to its innumerable depth and anointing.

This song is by Pastor Chris Delvan, a man of God who has been a great blessing to me and to many others through his deeply spiritual songs. He doesn’t just sing, he fellowships or have deep intimacy with God before releasing any song. His music carries the weight of that intimacy he had in the secret place.
Though he often share this part of his story, in some of his messages, he has always mentioned that he once believed God could never use him because of his terrible past life. He lived a life of immorality, addiction specifically into drugs, and many other destructive choices. But when God arrested his heart, everything changed. Today, Pastor Chris Delvan is being used mightily to bless the body of Christ.

This particular song is a call to bring everything into obedience to Christ, to let go of our status and pride, and to submit ourselves to the school of the Spirit. In that school, we are all students, and the Holy Spirit is our teacher. Too often, we try to live by sight instead of by faith, but this song reminds us to surrender and follow the Spirit's lead.
