Greetings to the entire #hiveopenmic community. I hope you had a nice week. Temperatures, which have been cold for a long time in our country, are rising this week. Rains began to decrease, crops in the fields and gardens began to grow, and we began to see sunny days. I can say that this week is an important week for our country. Because as of Friday, we started to celebrate an official and religious holiday. In fact, in this holiday, which has similarity in many cultures, people who are in good financial condition donate cows, sheep, etc. to thank God for their blessings. He sacrifices some animals. And by distributing most of the meat of this sacrificed animal to people and families whose financial situation is not very good, it enables them to benefit from these foods (This is the purpose!). Of course, most of the people may not behave like this by interpreting this situation in their own way. In such cases, instead of sacrificing an animal, some provide financial assistance to people they do not know and will not feel embarrassment, or they can cover some expenses such as a month's kitchen expenses (This is a newer method).
Let's go back without getting too far from the context of our topic. 😊 On these religious holidays in our country, we come together with our families, relatives and friends we can call real friends and celebrate. Because only true friends know each other well, love with their hearts, and are always together in good and bad times.
I have prepared the folk song "My friend", which I think is suitable for the theme of the 117th week, and whose lyrics were written by Pir Sultan Abdal, with my own musical instrument, baglama. If you think of this poem from a mystical point of view, you can also understand the longing for God. But when it comes to true friends, no commodity in the world matters to them. This is how true friendship should be. I hope you will like it…
My Friend / Dostum
[ENG]
Even if you make me suffer a thousand times, I don’t mind
Your words sound so sweet my beloved
If you tend to go to foreign lands
May winter come and block your roads my beloved, my beloved
God let them not find happiness, those that cause lovers to separate
Nightingales are chanting in the garden, warn them
What is obscure to man, is clear to God
I haven’t smiled since we parted my beloved, my beloved
Pir Sultan Abdal I am, my rose is taken away
How did they do away with my sweet life
They would give me wealth if I desired
What good is wealth for me without you my beloved
** [TR]**
Bin cefalar etsen almam üstüme
Gayet şirin geldi dillerin dostum
Varıp yadellere meyil verirsen
Kış ola bağlana yolların dostum, dostum
İlahi onmaya yardan ayıran
Bahçede bülbüller ötüyor uyar
Kula gölge ise allaha ayan
Senden ayrılalı gülmedim dostum, dostum
Pir Sultan Abdal’ım gülüm dermişler
Bu şirin canıma nasıl kıymışlar
İster isem dünya malın vermişler
Sensiz dünya malı neylerim dostum, dostum
