Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un cover especial para celebrar en final del año 2020 con la canción "Love is Blue", cuya versión instrumental para orquesta fue creada por Paul Muriat. Capaz muchos la conozcan de sus padres o abuelos, o quizás vivieron la época del auge de esta canción, pero sé que muchos la conocerán de alguna parte.

Esta canción es muy especial para mí, ya que el azul es uno de mis colores favoritos, además de que mi papá siempre la ponía cuando era pequeña y me traía mucha paz y alegría. Esta obra musical siempre me trae lindos recuerdos de la niñez y qué mejor fecha para tocarla, que esta.

Realmente siento que esta canción expresará el cariño que le tengo a Hive, así que se las dedico con mucho amor.

Hello again! Today I come to you with a special cover to celebrate the end of the year 2020 with the song "Love is Blue", whose instrumental version for orchestra was created by Paul Muriat. Many of you may know it from your parents or grandparents, or perhaps you lived through the peak of this song, but I know that many of you will know it from somewhere.

This song is very special to me, since blue is one of my favorite colors, besides the fact that my dad always played it when I was a little girl and it brought me a lot of peace and joy. This piece of music always brings back beautiful memories of my childhood and what better date to play it than this one.

Para conocer un poco el contexto de la pieza, hay que saber de donde surgió. La intérprete original de esta canción es Vicky Leandros, participante del festival de Eurovisión con "L'amour est bleu" como es originalmente el título. Aunque no ganó el festival, su canción fue recordada con el pasar del tiempo hasta que prácticamente se volvió mundialmente conocida por todos.

Paul Muriat fue el responsable de hacer que esta canción fuese tan conocida. Este director de orquesta francés creo una versión instrumental de esta pieza junto a su orquesta. Esta versión fue creada a finales de 1967 para ser un gran éxito en el año 1968 encabezando la lista Billboard.

To know a little bit about the context of the piece, you have to know where it came from. The original performer of this song is Vicky Leandros, a participant in the Eurovision Song Contest with "L'amour est bleu" as the title is originally. Although she didn't win the festival, her song was remembered over time until it practically became known worldwide.

Paul Muriat was responsible for making this song so well known. This French conductor created an instrumental version of this piece with his orchestra. This version was created at the end of 1967 to be a great success in 1968, topping the Billboard list.

Esta fue la primera vez que grabé el audio y video a la vez, mejorando notablemente la calidad de audio. Además de que fue mucho más sencillo de hacer toda la edición de esta manera. El video lo edité con Wondershare Filmora y el audio con Audacity.

El arreglo lo había hecho unos meses atrás, pero no lo había tocado porque lo quería guardar para una ocasión especial. Para ello usé la guía de una versión en guitarra de "The Ventures" la cual pueden conseguir aquí, que también usé como fondo para la canción final. El arreglo lo elaboré con Musescore.

This was the first time I recorded audio and video at the same time, improving the audio quality significantly. Besides, it was much easier to do all the editing in this way. I edited the video with Wondershare Filmora and the audio with Audacity.

I had made the arrangement a few months ago, but I hadn't played it because I wanted to save it for a special occasion. I used the guide of a guitar version of "The Ventures" which you can find here, which I also used as background for the final song. The arrangement was made with Musescore.

No saben lo mucho que agradezco la receptividad de mi música, el apoyo, las críticas y consejos que he recibido desde que comencé esta aventura en Hive. De verdad que unirme a esta plataforma ha sido una de las mejores cosas que me pudieron pasar este año, he conocido gente maravillosa, me he divertido mucho, he aprendido bastantes cosas y además, esto me ayudó a crecer como músico y dibujante, además de abrirme a ustedes de manera genuina. Espero seguir creciendo y que todos sigamos progresando para hacer esta plataforma mucho más grande.
