Hola de nuevo! Hoy les traigo un cover super especial, es cual es un arreglo para 4 violines de la canción "A Cruel Angel's Thesis", opening del anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, es cual es mi opening favorito de todos los animes que he visto en mi vida.

Este anime lo vi de muy joven y realmente me voló la cabeza, porque es algo difícil de comprender en cuanto a psicología de personajes, situaciones y eventos. Sin embargo es considerado un anime de culto y con mucha razón. Es increíble como este anime genera demasiados debates, incluso, he llegado a debatir con mis amigos los diferentes análisis que tenemos sobre la historia y desenvolvimiento. Sin duda alguna, es una serie excelente.

Hello again! Today I come to you with a very special cover, which is an arrangement for 4 violins of the song "A Cruel Angel's Thesis", opening of the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, which is my favorite opening of all the animes I have seen in my life.

I saw this anime when I was very young and it really blew my mind, because it is something difficult to understand in terms of character psychology, situations and events. However, it is considered a cult anime and with good reason. It is incredible how this anime generates too many debates, even, I have come to debate with my friends the different analyses that we have about the story and development. Without a doubt, it is an excellent serie.

Neon Genesis Evangelion es un anime seinen que trata de un mundo afectado por algo denominado "Segundo Impacto" el cual fue ocasionado por ángeles. El anime gira entorno a Shinji Iraki, el cual es elegido por su padre para manejar el EVA aunque el no quiere, y bueno, todo el anime tiene una trama difícil de explicar y además, muchos no entienden su final. Lo recomiendo muchísimo.

La canción se llama originalmente "Zankoku na Tenshi no Teze" en jápones y fue hecha por Yoko Takahashi. Se dice que Yoko hizo la canción en un período de tiempo muy corto, cosa que me parece increíble ya que para mí es una obra de arte. Comienza con un coral hermosísimo en los primeros segundos para luego convertirse en un "cumbión bien loco" coloquialmente hablando. Es difícil no querer bailar un poquito al escuchar esta maravilla.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime seinen that is about a world affected by something called "Second Impact" which was caused by angels. The anime revolves around Shinji Iraki, who is chosen by his father to handle the EVA even though he doesn't want to, and well, all the anime has a plot that is difficult to explain and besides, many don't understand its ending. I highly recommend it.

The song is originally called "Zankoku na Tenshi no Teze" in Japanese and was made by Yoko Takahashi. It is said that Yoko made the song in a very short period of time, which I find incredible since for me it is a work of art. It begins with a beautiful chorale in the first few seconds and then becomes a "crazy cumbia" colloquially speaking. It is difficult not to want to dance a little bit when listening to this wonderful song.

Les digo que este cover me dio dolores de cabeza en cuanto a elaboración ya que son muchas voces, hice 4 voces de violín y una parte extra para el final en Musescore. Primero elaboré el arreglo, haciendo 4 voces para violín. Tardé unos 2 días haciendo el arreglo y lo disfruté mucho. Para hacer esta partitura me guíe en la batería que pueden conseguir aquí.

Luego de exportar las partituras por voz, procedí a grabar audio y video, aislando los audios de los videos y haciendo la mezcla correspondiente en Audacity. Luego de mezclar la voces de violín, hice la edición de video la cual fue extremadamente difícil, pero me gustó el resultado. Combiné cortos del opening original con tomas de mí tocando con el audio mezclado de fondo, dando así el resultado final.

I have to tell you that this cover gave me headaches in terms of elaboration since there are many voices, I did 4 violin voices and an extra part for the end in Musescore. First I elaborated the arrangement, making 4 voices for violin. It took me about 2 days to make the arrangement and I enjoyed it very much. To make this score I used the drums that you can get here.

After exporting the scores by voice, I proceeded to record audio and video, isolating the audios from the videos and making the corresponding mix in Audacity. After mixing the violin voices, I did the video editing which was extremely difficult, but I liked the result. I combined short clips of the original opening with shots of me playing with the mixed audio in the background, giving the final result.
