How did I win Against Lord Arianthus level 3?

Peace and Bravery in Splinterlands,

I hope you are enjoying your season. I was preparing for a battle in the gold league leader board where the ruleset was equal opportunity. I have selected life elemental monsters positioning only melee cards on the battleground without knowing the Lord Arianthus will appear in the opponent lineup. All monsters will attack from any position (range monsters cannot attack from position 1) and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health. I thought that this battle was lost but the opportunity ability equipped on my monsters directed all my strikes behind Lord Arianthus. It was so great to see Arianthus waiting on the battlefield its turn at the finale round to face the magnitude of my striking power.

While passing through the galaxy on his starship, the great and powerful Lord Arianthus noticed signs of life on a planet below. Apparently, monsters of all sorts were battling one another in endless competition. Lord Arianthus, enjoying battle and competition very much himself, decided to land on the little planet. He would show these puny monsters the meaning of defeat!

The ruleset equal opportunity benefited my team formed by melee and protected with supplementary armors. The armor boost created with Defender of truth ability increased the defensive skills of my lineup against the random attack coming from the opponent melee monsters.

After analysis of this battle, I found that the Defender of truth, Hobgoblin, and Armorsmith were the key players in the success of this offensive and defensive lineup.

Lord Arianthus was present but the only one witnessing the loss of team's members. When I have in a battle the ruleset equal opportunity, I avoid placing monsters without attack ability on the battlefield.

Maylor Crowling, summoner with thorns ability may completely destroy any opposite teams in battle with equal opportunity.
