Ripley is an American psychological thriller television series set to premiere on April 4, 2024. The series is based on Patricia Highsmith’s 1955 crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley and was created, written, and directed by Steven Zaillian. The story is set in the 1960s and follows Tom Ripley, a hustler in New York, who is hired by a wealthy man to travel to Italy and convince his vagabond son to return home. Accepting this job leads Ripley into a complex life of deceit, fraud, and murder. The series stars Andrew Scott as Tom Ripley, Johnny Flynn as Dickie Greenleaf, and Dakota Fanning as Marge Sherwood.
