Even though the Badger momma takes her cubs out of the sett now that they can walk on their own, they’re still clumsy and unsteady on their feet.
One of the cubs captured on my trail cameras is limping on its right hind leg. It got injured sometime along the way, most likely by a fall from the roof of the entrance hole, or during a rough play with siblings. These baby badgers play by fighting and biting each other a lot.
I’m sure the cub will be fine and will recover from the injury quickly. At this age, while this young, it should take no time for the injured leg to heal. The limp will go away soon.
