    CREATIVE PROCESS

Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. I am nonsowrites and in this video I will be sharing my creative process. This entails the routines I follow to come up with amazing content for your viewing pleasure.

This video is powered by 3speak, a decentralized video-based platform and the hive blockchain, and an initiative by the hive naija community. Without further ado, let's jump right into today's topic.

We all have different creative processes that enable us to come up with great content but at the core of this are routines that build up over time.

These routines enable you to create seamlessly without expelling so much creative energy, allowing you to get into the flow state.

A flow is simply a state of mind where one becomes immersed in an activity. Everyone who engages in any creative endeavour would have experienced flow once or twice.

These are the periods of extreme creativity, where you come up with your best work. Remember the last time you were working and didn’t keep track of time? well, you were in the flow state.

how does one get into the flow state as a content creator? Well, the answer is simple and they entail three 3 things.

    1. CONSISTENCY

Consistency is simply the process of repeating a said activity for a prolonged time. This helps you become a master of your craft

mastery is simply a level of competence one develops over time, enabling one to achieve great feats without expelling some much creative energy.

We all achieve mastery to a certain degree. It is the added advantage we get from being consistent and developing our craft.

I have been writing almost every day forfour years, which has made me an idea machine. I do struggle with other aspects of writing but when it comes to creating ideas, I am fully confident in my ability.

    1. CONSUME CONTENT

You can only get better at your craft when you learn from those who have achieved mastery. Part of my creative process entails consuming a large chunk of content and learning new ideas and tricks to improve my craft.

For me, TikTok does the trick. There are a lot of amazing creators on TikTok that I learn from. I also listen to a lot of podcasts during the day to help me generate new ideas

It is quite easy to become redundant as a creator. So to stay fresh, consume other people's content. Also, you can learn about the latest trends and implement them into your creative routine through consumption.

    1. TIMING

In life timing is everything and creating content is not an exception. You need to find the right time to create. For me, it is late in the day or early in the morning.

These are my preferred times for creating because my environment is more serene and I can focus better on my ideas.

Serenity is a key part of the creative endeavour and it can be artificially created. You can hack your hack environment to suit your needs.

For instance, going to the park or a library to brainstorm, wearing earplugs or listening to music. Anything that makes you calm enough to create.

So these are my tips on how to better your creative process.

    Cheers!
