Hoy vengo muy contenta a participar en esta fantástica iniciativa creada por mi talentoso @ilazramusic. Gracias a esto ahora sé que tenemos en común un profundo y amplio amor por los animales y la naturaleza.

Se trata de un post dedicado a las mascotas que nos gustaría tener, pero edición especial: Mascotas exóticas!

El tema puso a volar mi imaginación y creatividad, por lo que decidí no sólo buscar las imágenes de referencia, sino además elaborar un autorretrato ilustrado de cómo me vería yo junto a cada una de mis mascotas exóticas.

Here I am today, very happy to participate in this great initiative created by my talented @ilazramusic. Thanks to this now I know that we have in common a deep and wide love for animals and nature.

This is a post dedicated to the pets we would like to have, but special edition: Exotic pets!

The topic sparked my imagination and creativity, so I decided not only to look for reference images, but also to create an illustrated self-portrait of what I would look like with each of my exotic pets.

I hope you enjoy the ride and like my drawings!

The girl you see in that picture is me, petting a donkey in the rural town of Macaira, in the Venezuelan plains.

Me gustan muchísimo todos los animales. La lista de mascotas poco comunes que quiero tener es larguísima: una gallina, una vaca, un cerdito, un hurón, una liebre, un morrocoy, un lince, una ardilla, una iguana... y sigue!

Aún así, para este post, decidí escoger específicamente entre mis opciones más más exóticas, más raras y quizás un poco espeluznantes, porque según mi criterio, todos los animalitos merecen amor

Por supuesto, siempre respetando que la relación sea voluntaria, sin jaulas ni cadenas! Soy partidaria de que si una mascota se queda conmigo es porque así lo quiere, porque se siente amada y protegida ❤️

Entonces, comencemos!

I love all animals very much. The list of rare pets I want to have is very very long: a chicken, a cow, a piglet, a ferret, a hare, a red-footed tortoise, a lynx, a squirrel, an iguana... and so on!

Still, for this post, I decided to choose specifically among my more exotic, weirder and maybe a little creepy options, because in my opinion, all animals deserve love.

Of course, always respecting that the relationship is voluntary, without cages or chains! I am in favor of keeping only those pets that stay on their own, because they feel loved and protected. ❤️

I chose this pet because I love arachnids, and this is an arachnid with my favorite color: blue!

Besides, this pet gives me a certain sense of nationalism, because it is originally from my country, specifically from the Paraguaná peninsula.

Unfortunately it is endangered, so I wouldn't really take it out of the wild to keep it as a pet. It will be an unfulfilled wish for the moment 💔

I named it "Mana" because that's how magic potions are called in RPG games, and they usually have a very similar blue color.

Lo que más me gusta de las serpientes es que tienen buena memoria, así que realmente pueden agarrarte cariño, aprender conductas, y convivir contigo de una manera muy similar a un perro o un gato.

What I like most about snakes is that they have a good memory, so they can really get attached to you, learn behaviors, and live with you in a very similar way to a dog or cat.

The most complicated thing about having a pet python is her eating habits. They like to hunt for their food, so in this case I would have to get rats, bats, little chickens or other small creatures for her to take care of the rest.

It makes me a little sad to have to sacrifice other animals for my Nagini, but I eat chicken and beef too, so I don't have much moral to complain to her about it...

I named her Nagini after Voldemort's snake.
