UR already Perfect

I'm busy editing the full video, of this snippet, for another Chaper of K.I.S.S: A book with an alternative perspective on mental health and addiction and wasn't going to share all of the banging away on the guitar bits.

But I was going to use this snippet for the Dreem-WOW this week...

I wrote a full post and everything... had it almost complete to just make the deadline last night and boom! All of the copy somehow mysteriously disappeared an hour before lift off. Six hours of work into the ether.

Perhaps I wasn't meant to share that part of the journey right now.

Wise words from @dreemsteem when I reached out in the final hour to say I wasn't gonna make the deadline and I made a video and all to support the fine efforts of the Dreemport team.

You gotta trust the flow and the process a bit, right?

So then I thought... hey! This would totally fit into the Hive Open Mic 129 theme this week! "Trust".

Because I've been building up the courage to enter the community's weekly prompts and send in a song. I really just play for fun, so I've been a bit shy about contributing. Especially when I see some of the entries.

Having said that...

The biggest draw card for me to promote HIve is because of the real humans and original content I see and connect with on here every day. It's entirely different from Fakebook and Instaham and I was sold on the social media side of things immediately when I found it because of this.

So "Trust" would have worked as well as a prompt for this video. It takes trust to allow people to see us as we are. In all our awkward human-ness.

It takes trust to be ourselves. To be honest about who we are (There's NO honesty on mainstream social media at all these days). And to put ourselves out there by sharing our own original content.

Which for creators often means revealing a bit of our soul.

Beautifully... I've only experienced acceptance, support, encouragement and validation around here. Even with my endless typos! I've found this to be a friendly, open, non-judgemental community. And it's this very aspect that makes me encourage other folks to get on board.

While using platforms like Facebook and Instagram usually leaves me feeling angry, afraid or less than worthy (because that is how the algorithms have been intentionally designed!)...

I find nothing but inspriation, honest connection, warmth and support around here.

So trust... yeah. That would have worked as well.

Sadly... I had already cut the video and it doesn't included the intro for the Open MIc prompt. Next time @hive-105786. I am so gonna participate soon...

So this is going to end up being submitted as a first post to a community that I've been following for a bit. And I hope it reaches whoever may need to find it.
