Considerado por todos en el ajedrez como el primer campeón del mundo no oficial el señor Paul Morphy se ganó la inmortalidad desde los años 1800, nacido en una familia adinerada y con una memoria prodigiosa, desarrolló un gran talento para el ajedrez hasta que decidió tomar su dinero y comenzar a viajar por Europa durante cerca de 4 años a enfrentar a los mejores del mundo siendo Adolf Anderssen uno de los primeros los que se enfrentó perdiendo con él las dos primeras partidas y bueno, luego ganando alrededor de 9 de forma seguida. Capaz de citar de memoria el código civil de Loussiana lugar en el que había nacido y crecido daba de mostrar los grandes dotes neuronales esto lo llevo incluso a jugar partidas con ojos totalmente vendados ganando todas las que jugó de este modo. El caso es que no todo era inteligencia sino que también sabía utilizar a la perfección la psicología en el tablero es difícil conseguir una partida donde él juegue con negras ya que al ser la sensación del momento le permite a jugar con Blanca en casi todas sus partidas pero, hoy les muestro una verdadera belleza en el tablero donde se enfrentan a imaginar a menos que a Henry Bird quien no era una perita en dulce en el tablero ya que incluso hoy día hay una apertura que lleva su nombre. Lo que quiero que entiendan en medio de esta partida que les muestro es cómo se puede desequilibrar al rival con un movimiento, ve a la siguiente posición.

Morphy hasta este punto se ha encargado de destrozar el centro de las blancas entregando algún material a cambio de un desarrollo armónico de sus piezas que están jugando pero ahora fíjense en el sacrificio qué hace jugando Txf2, jugada que acaba con la ventaja inmediata de las negras ya que están entregando una calidad, como jugador de ajedrez por un momento me pongo en el puesto de Bird y sinceramente puedo decirle con toda honestidad que a mí me hubiesen hecho esa jugada y casi sin pensarlo tomo la torre en f2 porque como digo esa jugada lo que haces acabar con la ventaja que tienen las negras, sin embargo, tampoco me hubiese esperado todo lo que viene después de parte del inmortal Morphy.

Resulta difícil para un jugador ordinario imaginar que te van a sacrificar la dama y más allá de eso, sé la impotencia que se siente saber que de tomar el sacrificio estarás perdido, obviamente Bird nota eso y no toma esa dama sino que juega c3 para abrir una casilla de escape al rey blanco, Morphy termina cambiando todas sus piezas quedando con su dama y alfil acompañados de unos cuantos peones, pero, la profundidad con la que juega termina haciendo de esta partida una auténtica joya por los siglos de los siglos.
