Nuestro protagonista de hoy se trata nada más y nada menos que el Cubano José Raúl Capablanca quien le puso un stop a la soberbia que radicaba en su rival Efim Bugoljobow quien durante toda su carrera dijo: "Cuando juego con piezas blancas gano porque soy yo quien lleva la iniciativa y cuando juego con piezas negras gano porque soy Bugoljobow". Sin embargo, esta soberbia lo llevo lejos incluso llegando a disputar el campeonato mundial no teniendo éxito en su momento. En 1925 Capablanca se enfrentaba a Bugoljobow y una muestra de calidad en el tablero permitiría que el Cubano se llevara la victoria.

Un sacrificio temprano por parte de Capablanca quien conducía las piezas blancas, les hablo de jugar Axe6 cambiando su alfil por dos peones pero más allá de eso posicionó su caballo de d4 en e6 donde se volvió un pura-sangre que se encargó de causar todo un revuelo en la posición del Rey negro.

An early sacrifice by Capablanca who led the white pieces, I talked about playing Axe6 exchanging his bishop for two pawns but beyond that he positioned his d4 knight on e6 where it became a pura-sangre which was responsible for causing a stir in the position of the black King.
