Son muchas las historias conocidas en las que "el alumno supera al maestro” y en el ajedrez no es la excepción, en 1958 Alexander Koblencs era el entrenador de un joven adolescente de Riga llamado Mijaíl Tal quien desde niño mostró un don bárbaro en el ajedrez. Koblencs fue un Gran Maestro muy fuerte y con grandes logros en este deporte, esta partida que a continuación les muestro se trata de una que disputaron ambos como parte de una práctica y la verdad es que se registró debido a la genialidad con la Tal dominó en ella, por otro lado Koblencs dijo que lo mejor de Tal estaba en sus sacrificios y cuando alguien en el ajedrez es capaz de calcular con tanta precisión cada movimiento y es capaz de ganar las partidas como si nada hubiese pasado puede llegar a hacer hazañas inmensas.

La posición que vemos es una variante de la Apertura Siciliana Tal lleva las piezas blancas y podemos ver cómo logró abrir la columna h y concentrar su brutal ataque en el enroque enemigo ejerciendo una fuerte presión sobre el punto g7.

Es que Tal prácticamente dejó totalmente inmóviles a las piezas negras no dio respiro alguno para que las negras hicieran un plan de contraataque en pocas palabras maniató a su maestro.

Años más tardes esta grandeza de Tal rendiría sus frutos convirtiéndose en el Campeón del mundo más joven de la historia con 23 años y de ahí en adelante fue bautizado como El Mago de Riga debido a sus sacrificios y la forma en cómo resolvía cada situación hacia parecer todo fácil como cuando el *mago saca el conejo del sombrero.

Years later this greatness of Tal would pay off when he became the youngest World Champion in history at the age of 23 and from then on he was baptized as The Wizard of Riga due to his sacrifices and the way he solved every situation making everything look easy as when the *wizard pulls the rabbit out of the hat.
