Hablar de Mijaíl Tal es un poco complicado porque ya se ha dicho todo sobre él, nacido en Letonia exactamente en Riga, tuvo una niñez y parte de su adolescencia normal conociendo las nociones básicas del ajedrez no fue sino hasta sus 17 años que jugó su primer partida oficial frente al GM Alexander Koblens y lo más sorprendente es es que ganó y desde ese punto Koblens se dedicó a entrenarlo porque mostró un talento nunca antes visto y desarrolló un técnica indiscutible y cuando pensaban que sería uno más del montón de genios comenzó a sacrificar piezas de manera brillante y ese fue el punto que lo diferenció de todos siendo esta su firma para la historia.

Tal se tituló campeón del mundo el 13 de Mayo de 1960 frente a la leyenda Mijaíl Botvinnic donde Tal mostró un juego agresivo y único, quiero decir que ese título sólo duró en su posesión un año nada más ya que Botvinnic solicitó su revancha al año siguiente donde cambió su plan de juego a algo más lento y aburrido esto permitió que Tal no desarrollara su juego violento.

Un Poco de su vida.

Tal nace en el seno de una familia judía de hecho sus padres eran primos por cuestiones de genética a su mano derecha le faltaban dos dedos, siempre la cargaba escondida en su bolsillo solo la sacaba cuando necesitaba encender un cigarrillo ya que era uno de los vicios que tenía, los problemas de salud lo acompañaron durante toda su vida incluso le fue extirpado un riñón de hecho una de las cosas que lo llevaron a perder su título tan pronto también fue su salud vivía inyectándose morfina a tal punto que quedó adicto a ella ya que la necesitaba casi a diario para soportar los dolores renales que sufría, fue una persona carismática toda su vida, desde sus 17 años solo vivió para el ajedrez él siempre decía " si llegaran a prohibir el ajedrez probablemente sería contrabandista" , incluso perdiendo o haciendo tablas sus partidas eran obras de arte.
Fue el campeón más joven con 23 años dicha marca quedó plantada hasta 1985 cuando Gari Kaspárov se tituló a sus 22 años marca que sigue vigente aún pero no solo eso sino que tenía el récord de más partidas ganadas de forma ininterrumpida siendo 94 y esta marca fue superada por Ding Liren hace pocos menos de 4 años. Tal ha sido posiblemente el más amable y simpático de todos los campeones mundiales. Amigo de todos los ajedrecistas, siempre estaba dispuesto a jugar una partida amistosa con quien se lo propusiera, sin reparar en la categoría del contrario, aunque ésta fuese la más humilde de las posibles. La gran importancia de Tal en la historia del ajedrez no sólo radica en sus impresionantes éxitos ante el tablero y en haber sido campeón del Mundo, sino también en insuflar nueva vida al ajedrez en una época tan pacífica. Junto a Alekhine, fue el mejor combinador del pasado siglo. El problema con su mano no le impedía nada de hecho era un excelente pianista y fanático de las composiciones de Chaikovski y Rajmáninov

En 2020 se publicó un libro llamado Nieve Negra dedicado a dioses, héroes y campeones sin corona que durante los 1500 años de historia escrita que tiene el ajedrez han formado parte y en especial este libro es dedicado a Mijaíl Tal el gran Mago de Riga, cuando alcanzó la gloria en 1960 el alto mando del gobierno le regaló un auto de último modelo y él no sabía manejar así que se lo regaló a su hermano pues decía que no tenía el mínimo interés por aprender a manejar pues el auto en lugar de ser un dilema sería un problema, sencillamente único.

Días antes de enfrentar a Botvinnic fue operado de apendicitis y fumaba a escondidas en la clínica y cortejaba a las enfermeras, "a diferencia de Fisher, Tal no era adicto al ajedrez, él era adicto a la vida" este es un pequeño fragmento que reza el libro Nieve Negra ya antes nombrado.

Su Magia

La partida que les muestro en el vídeo expresa en su máximo esplendor la tenacidad con la que jugaba Tal, se enfrentó con piezas negras en 1958 a Milka Botbonov con blancas y de entrada les digo que en la jugada 11 sacrificó su Dama.

Es increíble lo que Tal podía hacer y a pesar de ser una superestrella siempre estaba dispuesto a jugar una partida contra quien se lo propusiera sin importar el nivel de su rival él siempre carismático estaba dispuesto con tal de pasarla bien, les invito a ver el vídeo y disfrutar de esta hermosa partida.
