One of the most common and strange sensations is déjà vu, or at least the most frequent in certain minds. Don't get confused, I don't know anything about psychology, I'm just talking from my experience, and déjà vu is one of the mental experiences that have happened to me the most so far, another of them was sleep paralysis, about four times I've had this night mishap and the truth is horrible and, although I know that there is a scientific explanation why this happens, I still get a little scared sometimes to have one again hahaha.

To tell you a little more in detail what happened with sleep paralysis: Well, the first times this phenomenon happened to me was when I slept with the sheet covering my head (yes, sometimes I sleep wrapped up to my head). When the paralysis kicked in I just felt like I couldn't move, you know, the typical hopeless absence of the ability to move on your own, hence the name obviously. As I was completely covered by the sheets, "by my deduction", I concluded that the hallucination did not take place because of this. However, there was one last occasion in which I was asleep tucked in a normal way with the sheet, the event started with a dream in a race, which led to a kind of orphanage, outside the orphanage, in that same street, there were some children like looking at the sky, basically, at nothing; when suddenly the space of that place inverted, leaving the sky as the ground and the ground as the sky, which made it start falling towards the sky. After this, I woke up, and here came the worst part, I found myself right in front of my bed with a female figure dressed in white and with a very ghostly face, she tried to climb on my bed but, I think she did, but from one moment to another I could move again and the hallucination ended.

Una de las sensaciones más comunes y extrañas es el déjà vu, o por lo menos la más frecuente en ciertas mentes. No te confundas, no se nada de psicología, solo estoy hablando desde mi experiencia, y el déjà vu es una de las experiencias mentales que más me han sucedido hasta ahora, otra de ellas fue la parálisis de sueño, unas cuatro veces he tenido este percance nocturno y la verdad es horrible y, a pesar de que se que tiene una explicación científica el porque sucede esto, igual me da un poco de miedo a veces volver a tener una jajaja.

Para contarte un poco más detalladamente lo que sucedía con las parálisis de sueño: Bueno, las primeras veces que me sucedió este fenómeno era cuando dormía con la sábana cubriendome la cabeza (si, a veces duermo envuelto hasta la cabeza). Cuando la parálisis hacía acto de presencia solo sentía que no podía moverme, ya sabes, la típica y desesperante ausencia de la capacidad de moverte por ti mismo, de ahí el nombre obviamente. Como estaba cubierto por completo por las sábanas, "por deducción mía", concluí que no se llevó a cabo la alucinación a causa de esto. Sin embargo, hubo una última ocasión en la cual estaba dormido arropado de forma normal con la sábana, el suceso empezó con un sueño en una carrera, la cual guiaba hacia una especie de orfanato, fuera del orfanato, en esa misma calle, estaban unos niños como mirando hacia el cielo, básicamente, a la nada; cuando de repente el espacio de ese lugar invirtió, quedando el cielo como el suelo y el suelo como el cielo, lo que hizo que empezará a caer hacia el cielo. Luego de esto, desperté, y aquí vino la peor parte, me encontré justo al frente de mi cama con una figura femenina vestida de blanco y con una cara bastante fantasmagórica, intento subirse a mi cama pero, creo que lo hizo, pero de un momento a otro pude volver a moverme y la alucinación termino.

Since then, I haven't had any more sleep paralysis, and I hope not to have any again, or at least not like this.

Anyway, now, let's talk about déjà vu. This is something that happens to me frequently, I think the last one that happened was about three days ago, it is the feeling that the moment you are living has already been lived before. I think at some point I saw a program in which they explained the reason for this phenomenon and said it could be a kind of genetic flaw that comes from a primate ancestor, well, who knows, maybe it can also be the memory and familiarity of a dream we had, but this would mean that dreams can predict some future events, which, believe it or not, has happened to me, but not so much with events but rather with places, I dream of a place and then I visit it, this is something that sometimes happens to me.

The song of the beloved Gustavo Cerati that I bring today is a piece dedicated to this theme of déjà vu and the sensations that you have already lived what is happening to you at that moment. The song also talks a bit about the omens in dreams, this in the part of the lyrics that says: "similarities that you dream, places that do not exist and you go back to pass". There is also a verse in the song that refers to déjà vu as an optical error of time and light, I think it is rather a vision of a shadow of what time really is, maybe future events that can be seen in higher dimensions and that manifest themselves in our daily reality as a feeling of having predicted something, but this is only a shadow of what it really is.

Desde entonces, no he tenido más parálisis del sueño, y espero no tener alguna de nuevo o por lo menos no así.

En fin, ahora, hablemos del déjà vu. Esto si es algo que me ocurre frecuentemente, creo que el último que ocurrió fue hace unos tres días, es la sensación de que el momento que estás viviendo ya lo has vivido antes. Creo que en algún momento vi un programa en el cual explicaban el porque de este fenómeno y decían que podría ser una especie de falla genético que viene desde un ancestro primate, bueno, quien sabe, tal vez también puede ser el recuerdo y la familiaridad de algún sueño que tuvimos, pero esto querría decir que los sueños pueden predecir algunos sucesos futuros, cosa que, aunque no lo creas, me ha sucedido, pero no tanto con sucesos si no más bien con lugares, sueño con un sitio y luego lo visito, esto es algo que a veces me pasa.

La canción del querido Gustavo Cerati que hoy traigo es una pieza dedicada a este tema del déjà vu y las sensaciones de que ya has vivido lo que te está sucediendo en ese momento. La canción también habla un poco de los presagios en los sueños, esto en la parte de la letra que dice: "similitudes que soñás, lugares de que no existen y vuelves a pasar". También hay un verso de la canción que se refiere al déjà vu como un error óptica del tiempo y de la luz, yo creo que más bien es una visión a una sombra de lo que es realmente el tiempo, tal vez sucesos futuros que pueden ser vistos en dimensiones más altas y que se manifiestan en nuestra realidad cotidiana como una sensación de haber predicho algo, pero esto solo es una sombra de lo que de verdad es.

Déjà vu can be interpreted as a feeling of having predicted something or also as a feeling of having already passed through a similar place. I say it can be a feeling of having predicted something because, at least in my case, when I visited the places I had already dreamed of I felt the same déjà vu, although I don't know if this would already be categorized as something else, the vision of déjà vu could be reversed a bit.

Perhaps this theme could also be related to parallel realities and our connection to them. In fact, there is a verse of the song that also talks a little bit about that, which says: "The same feeling comes back, this song was already written, it was a minimal detail that changed", this would already be the chorus of the final part. A song that was already written but that changed in a detail can refer to the repetition and small variations of patterns that the multiverse theory talks about.

El déjà vu puede ser interpretado como una sensación de haber predicho algo o también como una sensación de ya haber pasado por un lugar similar. Digo que puede ser una sensación de haber predicho algo porque, por lo menos en mi caso, cuando visitaba los lugares que ya había soñado sentía el mismo déjà vu, aunque no sé si esto ya se catalogaría como otra cosa, la visión del déjà vu podría invertirse un poco.

Tal vez este tema pueda estar también relacionado con realidades paralelas y nuestra conexión con ellas. De hecho, hay un verso de la canción que también habla un poco de eso, el cual dice: "Vuelve la misma sensación, esta canción ya se escribió, fue un mínimo detalle el que cambió", este ya sería el coro de la parte final. Una canción que ya se escribió pero que cambio en un detalle puede referirse a la repetición y pequeñas variaciones de patrones que habla la teoría del multiverso.
