Howdy musical family! Happy start of the month.

Today, on a normal and quiet Sunday, I decided to record a cover of a very beautiful song: "Luna" (Moon) by the Mexican band Zoé. There are many songs of this musical group that I like. Their melancholic style in the melodies and arrangements give a lot of solid character to what they transmit. The lyrics they write are mostly about romance and spite, but as I said, the style of this band is a marvel that conveys the strong intention of passion through an incredible form of music. Their vocalist, Leon Larregui, has a voice that I love, with a baritone tessitura that gives a dark and enveloping color to his singing; believe me it's great to find a singer that doesn't have the same tenor voice that always abounds in music.

This song is a manifestation of simplicity and subtlety, which end up transforming into beauty. It is wonderful the fact that with only three chords you can build something so unique, I have seen this in many songs, I have perceived it in Luna and I can say that its qualities are enveloping, moving, inspiring, rejoicing; for me listening to this song is like wanting to cry with happiness. I think I have heard that there is no such thing as tears of happiness, that this reaction is just a way of draining emotions, maybe the tears of happiness that are born when listening not only to this song but to any song are a reaction to the conditioned memory of the mind in the past, an event or a longing that lies in oneself and that appears in the form of crying, although here the variant is that the music gives you that feeling but also arouses hope and joy in the mind.

The lyrics of this song are a poem to the moon, or perhaps a dedication to a lost love that remains in the heart and feelings of the person who is dreaming in the absence of that loved one. Hoy, en un domingo normal y tranquilo, he decidido grabar un cover de una canción muy bella: "Luna" (Moon) de la banda mejicana Zoé. Hay muchas canciones de este grupo musical que me gustan. Su estilo melancólico en las melodías y arreglos le dan mucho carácter sólido a lo que transmiten. Las letras que escriben son de romance y despecho mayormente, pero como dije, el estilo de esta banda es una maravilla que hace llegar la fuerte intención de la pasión a través de una forma de música increíble. Su vocalista, León Larregui, tiene una voz que me encanta, con una tesitura de barítono que le da un color oscuro y envolvente a su canto; créanme que es genial encontrar un cantante que no tenga la misma voz de tenor que siempre abunda en la música.

Esta canción es una manifestación de la sencillez y la sutileza, las cuales terminan por transformarse en hermosura. Es maravilloso el hecho de que con tan solo tres acordes puedas construir algo tan único, esto lo he visto en muchas canciones, lo he percibido en Luna y puedo decir que sus cualidades son envolventes, conmovedoras, inspiradoras, regocijantes; para mí escuchar esta canción es como querer llorar de felicidad. Creo que he escuchado que no existen las lágrimas de felicidad, que está reacción es sólo una forma de drenaje de emociones, tal vez las lágrimas de felicidad que nacen al escuchar no solo esta si no cualquier canción son una reacción ante el recuerdo condicionado de la mente en el pasado, un suceso o un anhelo que yace en uno mismo y que aparece en forma de llanto, aunque aquí la variante es que la música te otorga esa sensación pero también suscita la esperanza y el regocijo en la mente.

La letra de esta canción es una poesía a la luna, o tal vez una dedicación a un amor perdido que sigue estando en el corazón y en los sentimientos de la persona que está soñando en la ausencia de ese ser amado. Canciones dedicadas a la luna hay muchas, ¿y como no podrían haber? La luna es un cuerpo celeste el cual es atractivo por naturaleza, no solo por su belleza, si no también por su magnetismo intrínseco. La luna mueve e influye mucho tanto en nosotros como en las cosas que suceden en nuestra vida, realmente es algo omnipotente que controla ciertos aspectos y otorga inspiración a cualquiera. Esta es una canción que tiene una bella adoración a la luna, o más bien, es una especie de comparación entre la influencia y el poder que tiene un ser amado en uno y la fuerza e igual influencia que tiene la luna en nuestras vidas.
