I haven't listened to many Natalia Lafourcade songs, only a couple of them have been the only pieces I have enjoyed, and from that couple, I have listened to the song "hasta la raíz" which came to my ears thanks to my mother, who listens to Natalia and, at that time, asked me to cover that song.

Natalia Lafourcade says that this song has a characteristic Mexican rhythm, although honestly, the song has a very Andean style, maybe because Mexico and the Andes have similarities in terms of art? Well, now that I think about it, if there is a similarity at the level of structure and concept when comparing "hasta la raíz" with an Andean song, it also has nuances and words that make reference to the ceremonial; something that I will explain later.

Yo no he escuchado muchas canciones de Natalia Lafourcade, solo un par de ellas han sido las únicas piezas que he disfrutado, y de ese par, he escuchado la canción "hasta la raíz" la cual llegó a mis oídos gracias a mi madre, quien escucha a Natalia y, en aquel entonces, me pidió sacar un cover de esa canción.

Natalia Lafourcade dice que ésta canción tiene un ritmo característico mexicano, aunque sinceramente, la canción tiene un estilo bastante andino, tal vez sea porque México y los Andes tienen similitudes a nivel de arte... Pues, ahora que lo pienso bien, si existe una similitud a nivel de estructura y concepto al comparar "hasta la raíz" con una canción andina, también tiene matices y palabras que hacen referencia a lo ceremonial; cosa que explicaré más adelante.

La canción empieza manifestando una experiencia de senderismo relacionada a la sanación y la visión "Hoy sigo cruzando ríos, andando selvas, amando el sol. Cada día sigo sacando espinas de lo profundo del corazón". En medio de esta visión de sanación que nace, también se suscita el recuerdo de un ser amado, un nombre que se lleva a un significado profundo que jamás se olvida.

Al principio, pensé que la canción era una especie de descripción del amor de una madre, pero tal vez sea un amor más general e imparcial, aunque la idea no está descartada.
