A veces puedo sentir la sencillez como una forma de la paz por su naturaleza carente de ambición. El deseo desmedido o la ansiedad por el mañana es algo que trae perturbación y temor, pero la sencillez crea un estado de satisfacción y aceptación que se conforma con lo esencial para vivir.

La verdadera humildad no se trata de miseria, se trata de la sencillez del individuo. Una persona arrogante quiere exagerar y desbordar todo: sus logros, sus metas, sus cualidades. El ego nunca se sacia, siempre quiere mas; mentir más, conseguir más. Por lo menos en mi caso, mi vida ha experimentado muchos cambios y posibilidades las cuales ni siquiera me imaginaba en el ayer; pero es aquí donde saber tener retrospectiva te sirve para valorar y ver en el presente lo que no tuviste en el pasado. El ego es confuso, los tiempos son cambiantes y no se sabe en qué posición uno se encontrará en el futuro. Con el terror del olvido, se puede pasar por alto lo que es la gratitud nacida de la retrospectiva.
