Hello dear friends of Hive openmic, I hope you are feeling wonderful this week, today I bring you a cover that does not go with the theme of the week 126, but I wanted to share it with you anyway. I remember that I asked my dear dad for a cuatro for December because I wanted to learn and take lessons on an instrument, so my dad bought it for me, in a way I didn't even know what a chord was or anything like that, One day in the school where I was studying a music teacher came to see the children who wanted to sing, at that moment I decided to talk to him and tell him what I wanted to learn to play, the most wonderful thing about this is that I learned to play, I gave the classes with the teacher called by his last name Mendez and even the most magical is that I did not know that I had the gift of singing until I learned.
After some time there was a call to the teachers and they were told that a singing festival was coming, and in my sector there was a man who composed many beautiful songs called Bernardino Guzman, we called him "ninito", he is a man of a certain age, well, he took his song to our choir, I remember that we were 4 soloists and they chose me to sing the song called "Yo soy de oriente", I went to the contest and I was 2nd place, it was not the best place but I lived beautiful experiences there.
This gentleman stayed in our choir supporting us and I was one of the soloists that he chose to sing each song with the choir, from there more teachers were included in other areas, such as theater, I also did theater with Professor Edgar and literature was also included, as well as a teacher of puppets was integrated and she also taught me a lot, one day a group of classmates gathered at the home of Mr. Bernardino taught us other songs, He composed it because there were a lot of ants in his house and everywhere they stung him and his youngest son was always like that, I did not remember this song until in my boyfriend's house I realized that the same thing was happening haha that is in his house there are many ants even in his clothes haha and one day while cooking I sang him that song and he gave me the idea to sing it for openmic.
I made this cover in tribute to Mr. Bernardino although he is still alive, but he taught me many things, he helped me a lot in singing, to know things that I did not know and although we did not have all the best to make music we still did everything possible to participate in each event, but I really enjoyed those times, I love singing, at that time I sang, danced, did theater, danced puppets while singing and how nice it was that, It was the only nice thing I could have in my childhood and remembering it made me feel good, I know I did the right thing and I did not waste my time, thanks to them I can sing, play an instrument, I always did this alone, my mother sometimes accompanied me but I always liked this and I still thank them a lot because the love that I did not have they gave me good teachings to move forward and discover the talent I have. Thanks to you for allowing me to express myself here, to make covers and to support me in the same way, thanks friends, I love you very much, greetings to all, see you later!
