For me these are still days of discouragement, anger and impotence, thinking about posting something loses sense when you feel that your country is falling apart thanks to the injustices and hunger for power of a few, but to try to let off steam and express what I feel, I decided to make this cover that is directed to the authorities who are dedicated to abuse in thousands of ways of citizens, that is happening today in my country.
But this post is not to talk about politics, it's to share with you my participation in week 17 of this wonderful competition. This bass cover is of a song by the American punk/rock band Pennywise, it's called “F*** Authority” and is one of the many protest songs they have in their repertoire. As you know, this musical genre is quite fast when it comes to instrument playing, which makes it ideal for unloading energy.
As I usually do, I removed the bass from the original song and then recorded my own. For the mix, I added an effect that I really liked because it feels robust, like full of rage, I must say that I felt identified with what that particular sound transmitted to me.
I hope my presentation is to everyone's liking, best regards!
