I took advantage of a few days of vacation to take some tours of the city of Lima, one of the virtues of this metropolis is the amount of tourist attractions it offers and precisely the museums are one of those that abound, the truth is there are many scattered throughout the city but visiting them all in one day is an almost impossible task because visiting a place like this means to appreciate very calmly each artistic expression to stay in our minds correctly.

I am going to start by showing you the external structure and entrance of this impressive building. As you can see, it is made of stone to give that tone or Inca style so characteristic of the culture of this great country, there are monoliths on its sides and a large stone inscription at the top of the rustic entrance with iron door; there is also a golden plaque that actually is not really gold, but gives a warm welcome, bears the name "National Museum of Peruvian Culture" with some very particular letters.

Aproveché unos días de vacaciones para dar algunos paseos de la ciudad de Lima, una de las virtudes de esta metrópolis es la cantidad de atracciones turísticas que ofrece y precisamente los museos son una de esas que abundan, la verdad hay muchos regados por toda la ciudad pero visitarlos a todos en un solo día es una tarea casi imposible ya que visitar un lugar como este significa apreciar con mucha calma cada expresión artística para que quede en nuestras mentes de manera correcta.

Voy a empezar mostrándoles la estructura externa y entrada de ésta impresionante edificación. Como pueden ver, ésta hecha de piedra para dar ese tono o estilo Inca tan característico de la cultura de este grandioso país, hay monolitos a sus costados y una gran inscripción en piedra en la parte superior de la rustica entrada con puerta de hierro; hay también una placa dorada que en realidad no se si es de oro, pero da una calida bienvenida, porta el nombre "Museo Nacional de Cultura Peruana" con unas letras muy particulares.

The first thing we see when we enter is a marble staircase with access to the second floor, some traditional artistic elements of fabric adorn the front wall and the one on the sides.

Lo primero que vemos al entrar es una escalera de mármol con el acceso al segundo piso, algunos elementos artísticos tradicionales de tela adornan la pared frontal y la de los costados.

This museum is dedicated to the Peruvian popular culture, so it does not necessarily show us antiques, we can also see works and current artistic expressions of the different regions of Peru, textile and clay crafts predominate but there are also some metal and paintings.

Below you will see the most striking textile elements that I was able to register during this visit, I am impressed by the quality of the finish and the strong colors of these garments that undoubtedly speak of elegance and good taste.

Éste museo esta dedicado a la cultura popular peruana, así que no necesariamente nos muestra antigüedades, también podemos ver obras y expresiones artísticas actuales de las distintas regiones del Perú, las artesanías textiles y de barro o arcilla predominan pero también hay algunas de metal y pinturas.

A continuación verán los elementos textiles mas llamativos que pude registrar en esta visita, me impresiona la calidad del acabado y los recios colores de estas prendas que sin duda hablan de elegancia y buen gusto.

In addition to cloth, we can also find a wide range of clay and mud works, this is undoubtedly one of the strengths of the culture of this country and in the following photos we can see very good examples.

Además de tela, también podemos encontrar una gran gama de obras de arcilla y barro, éste es sin duda uno de los fuertes de la cultura de este país y en las siguientes fotos podremos ver muy buenos ejemplares.

From here on you will see works of different characteristics that caught my attention, I think they were the most outstanding, to me in particular I found them very interesting.

De aquí en adelante verán obras de diferentes características que me llamaron mucho la atención, creo que eran las mas sobresalientes, a mi en los particular me parecieron muy interesantes.

This museum does not lag behind with technology, so it offers us a couple of very updated and innovative elements for the delight of visitors; this 3D device shows us different typical infrastructures of the different regions of the country.

Este museo no se queda atrás con la tecnología, así que nos ofrece un par de elementos muy actualizados e innovadores para el deleite de los visitantes; éste dispositivo 3D nos muestra diferentes infraestructuras típicas de las diferentes regiones del país.

There is a digital screen where you can take a picture and send it to your email, this picture is called "Digital Memories", after taking it I checked my email and indeed it was already there, it is not of the highest quality but it is a nice touch.

Hay una pantalla digital en la cual puedes tomarte una foto y enviártela al correo electrónico, a esta foto le llaman "Recuerdos digitales", luego de tomármela revisé mi correo y efectivamente ya estaba allí, no es de la calidad mas alta pero es un bonito detalle.
