I waited until the last minute to see if Dina would recover from a pharyngitis that prevents her from singing normally, but it is already Sunday and we are on the deadline for recording, during the week it is complicated because of work. After meditating for a couple of hours I decided that I would jump into the water with the song that we had already prepared for this week's theme; the truth is that even now I am not very convinced if it was good because I must admit that I do not sing and I have no talent for it, but apparently at least I could keep the tone, obviously we did not expect beautiful vibratos or exceptional arrangements that would highlight my performance.

This would be the first time I sing alone in the Hive Open Mic and I think in the platform in general, although I was not entirely alone, Dina accompanied me in the chorus and in some sections of the song; the truth was quite a challenge and I must admit that I feel some embarrassment but we are here and there is no turning back, this as you can see went on the air.

Talking about the song, it is very likely that it is unknown to you, in fact I found it on YouTube a few years ago by chance and I really liked it, I always listen to it. "Yggdrasil" is a song by the Swedish Rock/Metal band Brothers Of Metal, their songs usually talk about Norse mythology and this one in particular talks about an ash tree where the nine worlds where Odin (Norse God) passed through, for them the land of humans was just a branch; the truth is a bit complex to explain but I will leave you below an article in case you are interested in the details.

I think this song is related to the theme of the week because that mythology has many stories in which magic prevails, obviously I do not believe in any of those things but I find them very interesting, I think those who were dedicated to develop that mythology had a great imagination and managed to mesh or build stories that generated a very particular identity in their culture, to me the truth is very distracting.

Esperé hasta último momento para ver si Dina se recuperaba de una faringitis que le aqueja y que le impide cantar con normalidad pero ya es domingo y estamos en la fecha límite para grabar, durante la semana es complicado por el trabajo. Luego de meditarlo por un par de horas decidí que me lanzaría al agua con la canción que ya teníamos preparada para la temática de esta semana; la verdad incluso ahora no estoy muy convencido de si estuvo bien porque debo reconocer que no canto y ni tengo talento para eso, pero al parecer por lo menos pude mantener el tono, evidentemente no esperábamos hermosos vibratos ni arreglos excepcionales que destacaran mi actuación.

Esta sería la primera vez que canto solo en el Hive Open Mic y creo que en la plataforma en general, aunque no estuve del todo solo, Dina me acompañó en los coros y en algunos tramos de canción; la verdad fue todo un reto y debo reconocer que siento algo de vergüenza pero ya estamos aquí y no hay vuelta atrás, esto como pueden ver salió al aire.

Hablando ya de la canción, es muy probable que sea desconocida para ti, de hecho me la encontré en YouTube hace unos años de casualidad y me gustó mucho, siempre la escucho. "Yggdrasil" es una canción de la banda de Rock/Metal sueco Brothers Of Metal, sus canciones suelen hablar de la mitología Nórdica y esta en particular habla de un fresno en que se encuentran los nueve mundos por los que pasó Odín (Dios Nórdico), para ellos la tierra de los humanos solo era una ramificación; la verdad es un poco complejo de explicar pero les dejaré a continuación un articulo por si están interesados en los detalles.

Creo que esta canción esta relacionada con la temática de la semana ya que esa mitología cuenta con muchas historias en las que la magia prevalece, obviamente no creo en ninguna de esas cosas pero me parecen muy interesantes, creo que quienes se dedicaron a desarrollar esa mitología tenían una gran imaginación y lograron engranar o construir historias que generaron una identidad muy particular en su cultura, a mi la verdad me distraen mucho.
